Izumo is my favorite restaurant in the area. I almost everytime get their alaska rolls, spicy salmon sashimi, sometimes prince roll and udon. Every one of it taste SO good. The price is cheap for its outstanding food quality. I have brought friends to this place and they have loved it as well.
Had my Valentine’s day meal here today. Nice place with lots of room and booth seating. We were seated and received menu and tea right away. Ordered some sushi rolls and yakisoba. Food came quickly, was delicious, and good sizes. Prices about ~$14/person.
I have been here for 2 times since it’s close to where I live…quality is just okay but overly priced. I would rather go to sushi & roll for better and creative sushi with lesser price.Be aware they charge for extra sauce!
Been here for 20 mins, have not been greeted, had to sit ourselves, and have not been offered drinks. Absolutely terrible service. Just about left until they heard us planning on leaving and rushed over to take our order. It’s not like its busy here either. They were cleaning tables while we stood awkwardly at the front waiting to be seated. We were not the only customers treated like this. Over half the restaurant waited just like us, sitting without a menu or water as they just cleaned tables or blindly ignored us. Finally got our food and just as bad as the service. Ordered the spicy tuna combo, and the rice around my rolls was a bit stale especially around the kappa roll. They also skimped out on the meat in quantity and quality. Sashimi was very soft and fell apart as I picked it up and my roll was far from satisfactory. I recommend sticking to Mcdonalds or burger king just down the street if I were you
This place sucks. I don’t understand why the reviews are saying it is good…. perhaps there isnt better sushi around the area or in surrey in general. The sushi is mediocore and portions are cut down unbelievably. The rice to ingredient ratio is like 1:5. For instance, the scallop my chopped scallop roll was not visible. Where is it? (refer to picture). The rice on the sushi is very WARM and does not stay in shape, which made it taste funny. I do not recommend this place, you are better off eating sushi at T&T just across the street.
Pleasantly Surprised. Decided to check out Izumo Sushi rather than Sushi and Roll which is down the road and we were pleasantly surprised. Izumo is slightly more expensive than other sushi restaurants, but some of the menu items are worth it. The mountain roll was outstanding with spicy tuna and scallops piled on a delicious roll. The tempura was decent, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. The restaurant itself isn’t the best, so I’d probably stick with takeout if I do order here again. I’d give them a 7/10. Not as good as Sushi and Roll, but definitely worth checking out if you want Sushi and you’re around Surrey Central.
Surrey Favourite. This is the place to go if you want good Japanese! My boyfriend and I’s favourite!!! It’s a 1 min walk from King George station. I love sushi and sashimi with a passion. We have tried many items from this menu, so this will be a long review….Sashimi- delicious, fresh, large portions, awesome! Usually get boats so have tried all kinds.Rolls- delicious, bursting with flavour, fresh love the special rolls!!! Must try.Gomae- pretty presentation, really yummy.Other appy’s- didn’t care for the scallop and shrimp skewer due to the sauce used. Tea is pretty good, miso soup isn’t bad, love their nigiri, always fresh. Always has a pretty presentation and friendly service.
