First time here was a great experience. Came in at 8am to a peaceful atmosphere. The owners were friendly and very sweet. I had the avocado tomato and bacon eggs benny, and it was delicious! Didn’t get a pic of the fruit cup but it was a wide variety of fresh fruit arranged in an artful manor. They have a promotion going on called the early bird special so I got 10% off my meal for checking out before 9:30.I’ll definitely be back and strongly recommend.
Came for brunch with a couple of family members on an early Sunday morning. Jasna Cafe is very much a family run restaurant, we saw the daughter working as a host/server and the rest of the family working in the back of house. The three of us all sympathized, working at our own family’s business when we were younger. There was kid’s artwork on the walls. The cafe was very much an old sushi restaurant in it’s recent past and converted into a cafe with some paint. It’s a very plain space but clean. The service was okay- pleasant.Overall the food was good and had good portions for the value. We all had eggs benny, which were cooked nicely. The Hollandaise sauce was okay. I would have liked the hashbrowns a little more crusty. The fruit cups were fresh and had a good variety of fruit. It’s not a bad little place and breakfast here is better than at a chain restaurant!
I went for breakfast with my sister. Though the food looked very tasty, the only vegetarian choice for me was a salad when I did feel like something more substantial. Unfortunately it’s not a place for vegetarian, pescatarian or heart-healthy choices. But if you’re into the classic eggs, bacon, sausages etc. you may well like it. The interior was starkly bright and service was basic.
After reading reviews we just had to try it and we’re not disappointed. Delicious, not greasy breakfast with a huge serving of fruit… *drool*. We’ll be back!
I’ve eaten here several times because my Vet is next door, and I think the food is good. It’s not a gourmet place but it is good. I like supporting local, family owned restaurants. My favorite menu item is the stuffed hash which is stuffed with cheese, onions and covered in bacon. It’s served with two eggs, two pieces of toast, tomato and sour cream. I find that the potatoes are not salted so I always add salt and pepper. I like that I can control how salty my food will be. You will be full! I crave this until my next visit. They also have a half order of eggs Benny which was decent. It’s served with a fruit cup and it had a wonderful assortment of fruits. I don’t think the hollandaise sauce is amazing as some of the other reviews have said. All in all the food is fresh and tasty. The owners take pride in their business. I love going to Jasna Cafe for breakfast.
Terrible – under new management. Four of us went for brunch. The meals weren’t served anywhere near together. The potatoes are under cooked and the hollandaise sauce couldn’t have tasted more powdery. One guest ordered over easy eggs, they were cooked through and through. Another guest ordered sausage and it appeared to be a week old and tasted salty. With higher prices and terrible food the cafe offers poor value.
Good eats, reasonably priced. Always quality, always fast – no fuss, no muss. Jasna’s my go-to for late breakfast as I work in Whalley and sometimes, I just want breakfast at 2pm. This place never lets me down.
