This place is like a diamond in the rough.You’d never think to find food this good and this authentic in Whalley! I have been here numerous times and have always been happy with the service and the food quality.I recommend them to people all the time!
Despite its location and the fact that it looks like an old tiny grocery store, Taqueria Jalisco makes some good food! My co-workers and I ordered some take out and when we picked it up it was fresh, warm, and the lady who rang us in was actually quite nice. I ordered the chicken/pollo torta and it was packed full of meat. Basically meat+bread but surprisingly want dry at all 🙂 you definitely get your money’s worth with the sandwiches and even more so the tortillas/burritos. The burritos are about the size of a small child. The only thing which didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked were the tacos. At $2ea it’s cheap but they were unfortunately dry. However, despite that, we all agreed that we would order the torta and burritos from here again.
Never a disappointment!! After trying 10 Mexican restaurants this is one of the top 2. Aways friendly lots of flavours, great prices. My Favourite dish is the chimichanga.
Went to the restaurant yesterday. Food was good but the service was crap. Had an entertainment book coupon it was sitting on the table the whole time but when we went to pay they told us we don’t accept those anymore we are loosing too much money. the book is only a few months old it shouldn’t matter if your loosing money stand by your advertisements or at least put up some notice.
Absolutely delicious. Im not sure what peoples issue is with the service here.Was it chatty? no.Was it friendly and prompt? hell yes!I had a Carnitas Taco and Torta Ahogada. both beautifuly done. My buddy had 4 different tacos (carne asada, birria, carnitas and pollo) which he was in awe of the simplicity and flavour of each.will absolutely be going back for more!
We thought that we would give it a try since we both love mexican food. Completely disappointed right from the start. Server not friendly just put our food on the table and left. We ordered chicken nachos to start, totally bland. Then we had chimichangas I had chicken my husband had beef. His was microwaved too long and was hard on one end but both had no flavor. Not once did the waitress come back to see if everything was okay and never even brought us our bill. I had to go get to go containers when I paid for our food. My husband is from Mississippi and the mexican restraunts there have great tasty food.We will never eat there again and suggest that u save your money as well. Taco Time on Scott road has much tastier food this was just a waste of money and time when we could have gone somewhere that we knew we would like. Dont do it!!!!!! Go somewhere else !!!!!
I like the food here and I can’t believe how good it is even tho there is a wall of microwaves in the kitchen ! Love going here for a bite.
