Hiko sushi is pretty good, service is beyond polite and will generally give you samples on the house if it’s empty. The portions are good and the prices are fair, they have many great combo plates to choose from; but the taste is so-so. It seems like about 60% of their maki rolls contain pollock and their specialty rolls sometimes taste just a bit old. If you go here just know you are going to get a consistent average. I keep going back though.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!. I don’t write reviews much but I registered just to write a review for these guys. I genuinely want them to succeed. Went for lunch and they were empty. At first I thought oh man this place can’t be any good. This quickly changed after I met the owners. They welcome you and service you like a family member. They were quick and the food was delicious. Everything is fresh and tastes authentic. I am Asian and have eaten sushi everywhere including some of the best restaurants out there. This is not high end by any means not do they offer fancy special rolls like in vancouver but it is a nice and affordable place where service is friendly and fast and genuine and food portion is abundant and delightful. Please give them a try next time you need lunch or dinner. You won’t regret it.

Great price and quality!. My husband and I moved to Abbotsford a few months ago and have been craving good sushi ever since. We’ve tried out numerous ones in town, most are overpriced as well as poor quality of both the rice and fish. Hiko Sushi, a tiny restaurant that doesn’t get enough credit, is tucked away off the popular Whatcom exit. They have great prices and the taste and quality of food is exactly what we’ve been looking for!!! Not only that but the service was prompt without feeling rushed. They even started our order for sushi with complimentary spring rolls!
Went hear despite some negative reviews. It was fantastic. Food was very good, that’s coming from a fairly picky sushi lover. Price/ value was good. On the avg-high for small sushi restaurants. Service was good. Most importantly was the quality of the sushi, very good.
I’ve never ate at this place before so i don’t know anything about the old manger, the food was great and the serives was on point family run business and i can’t wait to come back!
