My husband and I dined here last night and we were both quite impressed. It’s an interesting place; elegant and yet casual – no pretentiousness whatsoever. Our server was super chill and informative. We started with the duck confit spring rolls which were excellent and for mains I had a pork chop with ginger BBQ sauce and beans and my husband had their chicken supreme (which came with an extremely savory pan jus); both entrees were delicious. We then finished with a creme brle which did not disappoint. My only complaint about this place is that while they have a vast wine list their are only a handful of wines available by the glass (3 white 3 red and 1 rose) which I didn’t feel gave enough options for pairing with the variety of dishes they have on their menu. Another white and red or 2 by the glass would be ideal. That being said however, we still enjoyed our wine selections very much.

Loved this place! Small, cozy restaurant – we sat at the bar and loved watching the chefs in the kitchen. The duck spring rolls were to die for and would eat them again in a heartbeat! Our mains were also really delicious – slow cooked ribs, seafood bouillabaisse and a side of garlic fries. Definitely worth a visit and book ahead as it seemed to be packed.

My boyfriend and I tried Red Door for out date night and were completely impressed. The restaurant is where the old BBQ Bob’s was and they have utilized the space well and maximized it into a fantastic, intimate dining room. The wine list was simple and offered great variety (both price & varietals) to pair with their well constructed menu. Their chocolate pyramid dessert was probably the most perfectly balanced desserts I have ever had. The chocolate was rich and velvety with out being too bitter and the raspberry coulis was unbelievable: not too sweet, still had some seeds in it and tasted like pure raspberries.

Oops: Cory was helpful and attentive. :)05 Oct, 2014Amazing food. Truffle fries: OMG!!! Mushroom cabamzola appetizer: OMG!!! Mussels: OMG!!! Service just right. Corey was helpful and attentive!!! Sitting at the bar allows you to see all the action. A definite must if you’re in Whistler or anywhere close.

Food was very well prepared. We were there on a busy Saturday night, service was a little slow but to be expected.

Intimate & delicious. Have eaten at this intimate, charming bistro three times since it opened just before Christmas. Local-favourite Executive Chef R.D. Stewart is at the helm, and his new kitchen produces delicious dishes. The mushroom appetizer is amazing, as are the seared tuna and duck spring rolls. The entrees reflect flavours ranging from classic French to fresh west coast fusion; the last time I was there I chose an incredible Arctic Char special, served with a baby shrimp and lemon risotto. Further, the wine list is thoughtful and reflects the menu’s diversity, and there’s plenty of variety if you want to order by the glass. If you’re coming up for the weekend, reservations at the Red Door are a must! (Can’t wait until the patio opens in the summer!)
