Horrible service! Waitress rushed us to order. Tried to get my 5 year old son to eat a full order of chicken strips. After arguing with her that he’s 5! She finally understood my english and adjusted the order to 1 chicken strip. We ordered the 2 piece cod & chips and it was awful! The decor is old & musty smelling and the music they played sounded like some drunk guy at a karaoke bar! Never will we eat here again!

Worst fish ever. Picked up fish and chips last week after work – haven’t had Salty’s for a long time since I’ve favoured the popular spot on Marine Drive for a few years now. Had good memories of meals with my British family at Salty’s but that was then and this is now. The fish of the fish and chips was without a doubt the worst battered fried fish I have ever had. The batter was thick and tasteless and the portion of fish was laughable – the smallest piece of fish ever. And surprisingly, pricewise they are slightly more expensive than other shops which serve much higher quality product so not only an insult to my tastebuds but also to my wallet. Somebody needs a lesson in the proper preparation of fish ‘n chips at Salty’s. Yuk!
Not a classy joint, but better fish and chips than most places down on Marine. Fresh fish, crispy batter, and dark beer…they don’t mess with it!
I like , restaurant is not the greatest , but is a really nice place to eat good and simple fish and chips
