Our family went there and we each had a different thing. My mum had the chicken pesto pasta and it had lots of lovely chunks of bacon, the sauce was delicious and and there was a generous portions on all the dishes we got. All the burgers were to die for and with the fries were incredible. I had the bacon wrapped salmon and it was amazing. It had a goat cheese fritter that was very good. My grandfather had the baby back ribs and they were perfect. All of us had different desserts and they all got a five star rating.
First time here. Girlfriend had the salmon and I had the ribs. Both were excellent and the ribs were just falling apart as I ate them. I really liked how their wine selection was 98% local wines. We will be returning that’s for sure and brining along our friends for the ride.
We were here today with our large, family (ages 7-17). How refreshing to be able to expirence exceptional food quality (extremely flavorful, fresh, with creative touches), in a welcoming family setting. There was no compromise for our family to ALL enjoy the food that we ate in such a warm, welcoming vibe. We appreciated the local artwork on the walls. The extra thoughtful aspects of this restaurant were not lost on us. The tartar sauce with the already fantastic battered fish, out of this world! The cilantro add to the coleslaw… Brilliant! The must have, flour-less chocolate cake… Crazy!!! The pizza, burger and fries were so beyond wonderful… We did a lot of sharing around food so that we could expirence all of the the great tastes. Huge compliments to the chef and staff there!
Great Addition to Winfield Restaurants. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Routes Grill. A few years back (3?) they took over the old Mama Spenghi location on Hwy 97N. As local residents we tried them out for lunch. Then dinner. We have since become regular customers and have never been disappointed in either the food or service. They will go out of their way to accomodate their customers. Great food. Good prices. Give them a try.Trish Lugrin
We decided to give Routes Grill a try tonight and it was well worth it!! The one thing I noticed right away was how friendly the staff and owner were. She seems to have a lot of loyal customers as she recognized many of the diners that came in….this is always a good sign! We started with the ceaser salad which we enjoyed. I had the lemon salmon and my fiance had the strip loin steak and au gratin. We shared both of them and they were excellent. The steak was cooked well and the salmon was very flavorful and fresh. For dessert we had the espresso creme brle, this was insanely delicious and went great with our last few sips of cab sav! Yum!! Very well done! We will be back again!
I just are the best burger I’ve ever had in my life hands down. Fries were killer too… I don’t know if I can ever have a burger anywhere else again.
Overall good food – ambience is lacking. We went when it first opened and it was good but seemed like it needed some time to smooth things out. Gave it a second try tonight and the food was pretty good – I ate the burger with their fries which was quite tasty. Homemade gravy was also tasty but I’m still not a fan of the Ketchup which has some curry in it. Would be nice if it was only an option for those who like the extra kick. My fiance had the meat lovers pizza which was good but was sitting in quite a bit of grease on the plate it came on. Cesar salad was delicious. My main complaint, if any, would be that the ambience is lacking and our server was not knowledgeable on menu items – had to run back and forth a few times. My fiance’s drink was not made correctly and had to get a new one. Overall a great little spot in Lake Country and has a lot of potential. I would give this place another try.
