I stumbled upon the Jammery after camping with the fam in Kekuli bay. We got rained out so we were freezing wanting some hot food. We got there at about 10 am and it was busy but we were luckily seated immediately. The hostesses were so friendly and sweet!Looking at the menu i wanted everything. They were featured on the show, You Gotta Eat Here which I love so I was excited and knew we were in for a treat! We got waffles with strawberry sauce and whipped cream with a side of bacon for the kids, my hubby got the chorizo toss and I went for the breakfast paella. Our friendly server told us that the wait would be longer than usual because the kitchen was busy but we didnt mind because attached is a store where they sell all sorts of culinary goodies, souvenirs and tons of homemade jams and jellies! They had samples out and we wound up buying the delicious new flavour, rhubarb ginger. Our food came out pretty quickly, not a long wait by any means and it was absolutely delicious. The kids arent big on breakfast but they devoured their waffles and wound up using their maple syrup and enjoyed every bite. My husband really loved his chorizo toss and my breakfast paella was amazing! I love the generous chunks of lobster, scallops, and shrimp and eating it Bennie style with soft runny poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce on perfectly roasted hash is breakfast heaven! Their marble rye with their homemade jam was YUM! They had tobasco which i love on my eggs too so I was a happy camper Service was great, coffee kept flowing, was hot and hit the spot, and I will dream of that breakfast paella when Im craving the ultimate seafood Bennie!
I went on a long weekend and it was a ~1 hour long wait. The wait wasn’t bad, as there was a little gift shop attached and a nice place in the back to hang out while we waited. We ordered the recommended menu items: cheese burger eggs Benny and AYCE waffles. I wouldn’t say they were the best Eggs Benny’s I’ve tasted but probably one of the better ones around Kelowna. Hollandaise sauce def was addicting. The waffles on the other hand were pretty average. Nothing spectacular, but nice and light. Took us a whole to get the next order for the waffles so we settled for only two plates.I wouldn’t say this place blew me away, but I probably came in with too high of expectations from the reviews I was reading. It’s worth a try if you’re dropping by Kelowna, but I probably wouldn’t find myself craving this anytime in the future.
