Really warm out door seating on a cold and rainy day. Service here was really nice too. We came here spontaneously for brunch and saw a pretty nice menu. We got the chicken and waffles and an eggs benny. Nothing too special about the food. The yolk was inconsistent on the plate though. One was poached perfectly, the other was a little firmer. Potatoes had a nice amount of salt without being overbearing. Chicken looked a little burnt and was a little dry.
The Donnelly Group could be the best restaurant/bar chain in the city, but they really need to work on their customer service and food quality. The food has the potential to be tasty and great (the flavours are good) – but the execution is poor. Came here last night, ordered the sausage platter and the quinoa and chickpea salad. Sausages were hot and good, the fries were warm. The salad was fresh but bland, also way too overpriced ($16 for a salad, and if I wanted chicken, another $6?). The server was slow and unfriendly, despite the restaurant being very empty after happy hour.I have been to quite a few of the Donnelly pubs and they are all the same. Disappointing.

On top of that the server came up about 30 min into our wait saying she forgot the entre order. Total wait time 1 hour 30 min at which point we requested our food to go. Beef dip and burger. No sauces or dip later we left very dissatisfied.
So bad it makes me angry. We ordered an appetizer and an entree. After a long wait we get out entrees. When we inquire about the whereabouts of our appetizer we are told that the girl who was supposed to bring it out dropped it on the floor. Our waitress asked us if we wanted it removed from the bill or if we still wanted it. We didn’t.My 16$ entree salad was small, was missing ingredients and barely had any chicken. It was ridiculous for how much it was.
Terrible brunch 🙁 Waited …. Terrible brunch 🙁 Waited 45 minutes for our food. It came out wrong and had to send it back. Waited another 30 min for the corrected order. Service was nonexistent and unapologetic. Way better brunch to be had….anywhere.
