Terrible service, barely passable food.Yes, I understand that you have a jazz bar beside the restaurant. Yes, I understand that it’s going to be busy on game night, being so close to the hockey arena. But that’s no excuse for terrible service.Reservations set a couple of hours before the game. Ordered from the dine-out menu, so it’s a set three-course meal – appetizer, main, dessert. The appetizers came at a reasonable time, around 15-20 minutes after ordering (so about half an hour at the restaurant). Quite tasty. The drink came a bit after – I don’t know why it took so long. There was also complimentary bread. Not warm and not tasty. Here’s where the problems start. The mains didn’t come until 45 minutes after we had finished the appetizers. And no, they weren’t worth the wait. Pasta tasted like it had been left out for a while – half of the noodles were stuck together, half of the noodles were hard and dry, and the meal as a whole didn’t taste good. So by now, it was around 20 minutes before game time. Luckily the desserts arrived quickly – they were fine. Pre-prepared usually is.I’ll talk about the service. The server knew we were going to the game, which is why we came so early. However, she barely checked up on us. I had to chase her down to make the initial order. We had to chase her down multiple times. She never took the initiative to tell us that the mains were going to take a while – we had to chase her down to ask. She never apologized for the delay initially (not until the very end) – most of it was blaming the situation instead of taking responsibility. Overall, the service was terrible. And because of her lack of updates, we missed part of the game. Yes, we arrived and ordered two hours before the game, yet somehow we missed the puck drop.Would not recommend this restaurant. Maybe it’s better when it’s not game night.

Came here for dineout and had their deep fried gnocchi, seafood tagliatelle, and their tiramisu. Everything was pretty good, and it was quite filling (probably because I got both the gnocchi and tagliatelle). $30 wasn’t a bad deal. karenklee.com

Hotel restaurant close to the stadium. Pros: Menus selection is good, prices good and food quality surprisingly good. My salmon was cooked to a nice medium rare and potatoes delicious. Cons: atmosphere is very bland. Tables are scratched and dingy. Server was clueless, but friendly.

I went to this place on a date night with my husband. Although the food was only ok and over-salted the wait staff was more then accommodating and did everything they could to make us happy. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves jazz and a lot of garlic on their food. Some people love garlic but its not for me and I can understand that. I did find the gnocchi dish i ordered was incredibly salty and i think it was due to the pancetta more then over salting of the chef since my husband ordered the same without pancetta. The atmosphere in this place is really romantic and the wait staff was really attentive and even took care of my gnocchi as I want happy with it. They even put through a special order to make me happy. I was really impressed.

Food was good, service poor. My service me disappeared part way through and it was clear no one else really cared about me being there. Was not offered another drink and when my pizza came out it was just dropped at my table without offering me parm or peppers which others had. The gent at the end of the bar who looked pretty rough and was just drinking water got better service than me. Food was above standard, but I won’t be back.

Thanks for a great experience. Thank you to Amir and staff for a delicious dinner and making a wish come true for the boys! Wonderful restaurant and wonderful staff. Will definitely be back again.

Great food, great bread, great experience!. Went for dine-out, and at $28 it’s a great deal, especially because they serve 3 savoury dishes rather than a dessert. The opener bread tasted fresh, and was delish with the olive oil + balsamic! Only wish was if they offered a second loaf (I didn’t ask…). The other dishes were also amazing, especially the mussels! I would definitely come back here in the future! They rival any of the other high-end restaurants in taste, and beat them in price!Taste: 4/5Price: $$$/5Value: 3.5/5Venue: 3.5/5Overall: 4/5
