For any sweet tooth, this place is heaven!The presentation and flavors offered are exquisite. Every cake is a feast to the eyes.Ganache Patisserie is a solid choice both for cakes and for pastries with reasonable prices to boot.
We heard good things about Ganache and we love dessert so we had to try. We ordered the matcha cake with sesame, and the chocolate cake with passionfruit. Unfortunately the cakes looked better than they tasted. Between the two we liked the matcha cake better. Prices here are on the higher end, but that was to be expected. Service was really good, but we left disappointed most like due to high expectations. We won’t be back.

Ganache offers decadent chocolates and cakes, which have always been impressive.A stroll around Yaletown this weekend beckoned another visit. As usual, they seemed slightly understaffed but the pastry case was still well-stocked with intricately-designed cakes and viennoiserie. I tried the Croissant au Fromage and the Kouign Amann. The croissant was delicious – it was light and the cheese flavour was sharp without being overly-salty. The Kouign Amann, however, was a disappointment. The pastry was denser and drier than it should be. While the base was caramelized and glossy, it had a rather pronounced bitter flavour. I also noticed that the tops of the butter croissants appeared dark and slightly burnt.Ganache’s chocolates and desserts are likely wiser choices than the viennoiserie.
Why do I love this place?1. The choices you have as a consumer.2. How can anyone not drool over cake3. Not many places downtown have a cake place, this extravagant.This is a great place to get a celebration cake, especially a last minute one. Of course it’s always better to call in advance and pre order. When you step into the store it’s lovely. A great display of desserts and your greeted instantly, we’ll atleast for me. The reviews are a hit and miss from what I read. I just wanted to share my experience which was positive. Others may not be as fortunate like myself. I got a half dozen cakes to try out and one bday cake. They taste very good. Friendly service, and yes, I would return.
This caf was very cute! My sister got the passionfruit dessert and it was spot on. But I wouldn’t recommend the litchi dessert with pink macaron pieces on top. It had an overwhelming taste that was unpleasant. It felt like I put a perfume bomb in my mouth and ate a flower. It was quite disappointing considering how I love litchi (barely tasted it) and it was a very pretty dessert.
