After my dinner at Cats, I figured that I needed something sweet for dessert. Most places were closed by the time I was done (dont know why the Granville Island Market closes so early) so I wound up at GI Gelato. It was a bit grey and gloomy out, but I figured that shouldnt detract me from having a Vanilla Citrus Gelato in a waffle cone. This little ball of gelato was the perfect way to turn a gloomy day into a bright and festive occasion. pennyandrusty.wordpress.com

Run by some lovely Japanese people, this is a solid choice for something sweet and cold at Granville Island. I would say their gelato’s texture is not very authentic, but the flavours are fairly good. I would recommend the pistachio one! Scoop sizes are on the small side, making the price seem expensive, but do remember it IS Granville Island. That being said, this shop is cheaper than the one inside the market. Coffee and gelato were nothing spectacular, so I would only come back if I happened to be at Granville Island with some out-of-town friends/family. radiantrachels.com

Average, went to Granville but the market was closed for maintenance so we went to grab coffees here. I had a raspberry latte which was good but could have been better/hotter. My husband had a ginger latte which was really just a ginger steamed milk. Good enough but not amazing.
