Service was good. Prices were okay. Food was okay but my boyfriend got really ill after having the one dish that I didn’t have. HIs illness lasted for 3 days and he had to go to the hospital on day 4. It was an awful experience. Location was central to Yaletown – it was the one sushi location within a block of our Air BnB but only open until 10pm.

The interior was quite gloomy and had piercing white light in certain areas of the restaurant. Because of this, I was a little turned off at first, but was looking forward to trying their sushi. After a long back and forth and flipping through the menu, I decided on the Chirashi Donburi ($17) so that I could try a bunch of the different sashimi. The biggest let down for me was the rice. I don’t know what it was about it, but it just seemed off. The bowl included tuna, salmon, scallop, octopus, tamago, and was small compared to the many other ones I’ve had before (especially for the price) and I was still hungry when I was done.A few of my friends ordered the Kaide Assorted Sushi ($22), which comes with 9 pieces of the freshest fish of the day, 3 tuna rolls, and 3 salmon rolls. Looking at the amazing reviews online I had really high expectations for Kaide Sushi Bar. However, as a group we did not feel that the sushi here was spectacular. Everything tasted good and was clearly fresh, but not great enough to make me want to come back when there are so many other sushi places in Vancouver.

Great traditional sushi joint, their sashimi is always fresh and service is quick and staff are friendly. They have always delivered above average Japanese cuisine – unfortunately the building is old and there may be some sanitary issues. We’ve been there a couple times where we found silverfish in their dishes/drinkware and had to ask them to bring us new ones. These pests are hard to get rid of and I don’t blame the staff, but we’ve avoided the place ever since. Maybe they need a change in location?

Very Fresh Ingredients. Though the overall price was a bit high, everything was really fresh. I especially liked the Uni Nigiri and Toro Nigiri. The Tamago was a bit too sweet for me. Big Bang and Maple roles were all good. Salmon sashimi was extremely fresh. A bit disappointed that they did not have Tempura and noodles soup that I would like to choose during Winter time.

Great sushi along with very nice staff. Great smaller sushi place. Keeps the menu simple which I like. And the fish was good and all was presented nicely. The servers, the sushi chefs, and the owner/chef were all very friendly and made for an extra enjoyable experience.

The WORST Japanese restrant in Vancouver!!!!. I came visit the disgusting restaurant as my friend recommended. All dishes looked totally different from the photos on the menu.I really doubted of my friend’s taste…I and my father couldn’t finish our dishes, and didn’t to go as well…I strongly recommend that you never ever go to the restaurant. You must be disappointed, and feel just wasted money and time…
