We love going to Lupo Restaurant in Vancouver. We live in the Fraser Valley so we don’t get there as often as we would like. On this occasion we were in Vancouver to see Les Miserables at the Queen E. We sat in the front of the house overlooking Hamilton Street which is our favourite place to enjoy our dinner. Our server was Julie and she knows how to provide excellent professional service. This was our third time to Lupo and Julie has been our server every time. We really appreciate her friendly service. My wife started out with the buratta caprese salad which she loved. I started out with the veal and tuna appetizer. It was delicious. For our mains my wife had the the fettucine with the shaved truffles. She has had this special in the past and really enjoyed it. She raved about how good it was on this occasion as well. I enjoyed the duck confit which was perfectly prepared and presented.

The restaurant was located in a lovely old house, which added a soupon of adventure. Very prompt service. The focaccia was superb. I found the sablefish too salty, so much so that it drowned all other tastes in the dish. If I go again Ill ask about the saltiness level beforehand.
