I’ve been to the MeeT in Gastown and I remember enjoying a salad so I thought I would try the one in Yaletown. I have forgotten that it was a vegetarian restaurant and invited someone who was a meat eater. So note to self, the menu may not be for everyone. We ended up sharing appetizers instead and having a drink. The appies were pretty good. I wanted to have the taco salad but because it didn’t have the ground meat, i didn’t order it. Service was awesome and the manager mentioned to us that the kalamari looked very sparse on the plate so they made more of it and we just had to wait a few more minutes. It was nice of them to be so attentive. I would give them a 4 star for their great service but unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience being there with a meat eater.. I’ll try their veggie burgers next time.
Wasn’t sure how I’d like this place as I’ve grown away from eating at all-vegan places and have turned to focusing on venues and cuisines that offer (often more interesting) vegan options. But MeeT is an exception. Their very decadent butter chicken poutine is at once innovative yet still provides the classic vegan comfort that I want. Special regard goes to their house feta – not sure how they make it, but it’s to die for. Service was also prompt and friendly.
