My friend and I ordered their food to go. I tried a variety of sushi; the taste, size, and the presentation are all okay. Their deep-fry technique is good – the color of the spring roll and the agedashi tofu looks light golden yellow. However, they didn’t use soft tofu for the agedashi tofu, they use extra firm tofu instead which it becomes more Chinese style instead of the Japanese style. Also, the takeout menu says there are 20 pcs for the deluxe sashimi. However, they actually give us 19 pcs of sashimi and add 2 pcs of tamago while charging the same price as 20 pcs of sashimi. Why do they put down 20 pcs for the deluxe sashimi on the takeout menu if they actually give you 19 pcs? Furthermore, we told the staff that no green onion on the sushi but there are still green onions on the sushi. The staff is friendly and thankful. Even though their cooking skill is good, I won’t go back because they are cheap in using the ingredients.
This Japanese restaurant is running by Koreans. It is above average. The customer service is well. It is worth to come and eat sushi here if you don’t want to wait for seats at Kitshimoto on the same street. We ordered chopped scallop roll, ikura sushi, special combo A, teriyaki beef yakisoba, aburi Saba Oshi sushi, and spicy salmon sashimi. The presentation of each dish is very creative and beautiful. A couple dishes have lost some scores though. The teriyaki beef yakisoba was too salty and the pressed rice of the aburi Saba Oshi sushi collapsed once we used chopsticks to take one from the dish to our own. There is street parking but usually they are full, so we always park further away and walk to the restaurant.
