Even though prices are on the expensive side, we felt the food was of very high quality and worth the money. We ordered two steaks and both were cooked to our liking. The steaks were juicy and tender. We also ordered a side of fries and the waffles with cheese sauce (this was complementary as they had a promotion going on at the time). We would come back for a celebratory dinner for sure.
The Victor features a contemporary and seasonally inspired menu. We heard they serve good steak, so we tried Tomahawk and Rib Cap steak. Both Tomahawk Steak and Rib Cap Steak are actually part of beef ribeye cuts. Tomahawk SteakWhen the rib bone is left intact and French-cut (removing the fat and sinew down to the eye), the ribeye resembles a tomahawk as a single-handed axe. Tomahawk steak has five or more inches of extra rib bone for presentation purposes. We ordered a 50 oz dry-aged Tomahawk steak sharing with 4 people. We were amazed by the presentation. The server brought out the Tomahawk steak for taking pictures before hand-cut and serve on the table. The steak was juicy, but it was under-seasoned and tasteless.Rib Cap SteakThe rib cap steak comes from the curved top end of the ribeye, which sits under the backbone. We ordered a 10 oz Rib Cap steak with Hokkaido scallops. The dish presentation was very mediocre on a white plate, but the steak was cooked perfectly. It’s not likely that you won’t agree that Rib Cap steak is one of the tastiest cuts you’ll encounter. It was the kind most steak lovers crave! The Victor has a great atmosphere and dcor. It has a patio with a view of the hotels fountain and BC Place. It has stunningly beautiful at night. It is a perfect choice for any special occasion!The Victor is located on the 6/F rooftop at Parq Vancouver Hotel at 39 Smithe St, Vancouver, BC.
