I just had breakfast at this place we sat in a booth the temperature outside is 19 degrees and they had the air conditioning blaring cold when I asked the server to please turn it down she refused saying that everyone else was hot although i saw most with jackets and bundling up . as I had already ordered i didn’t want to leave she suggested moving outside with a bit of attitude we agreed ane moved . we ordered the steak and eggs medium rare and over easy the steaks were well done and eggs over hard .when I complained I got more attitude from the server who claims to be the daughter in law of the owner to the point that we left . This place has great ambiance but hit and miss with food and service it’s either great or really bad and if you complain you get attitude and what do you expect kind of replies . I have been there several times but I don’t think i will return again . I understand that sometimes things go wrong when preparing food but to have such attitude about it when you complain is unacceptable . If I wanted mediocre prepped food I would stay home rather then pay a professional to do it .

Greatly over priced. We had hamburgers which were nothing exceptional. Made the mistake of substituting a small cesar salad and did not realize it was an extra two dollars. Our bill for two burgers with coffee and tip came to forty bucks. Crazy. We both agreed we should have gone to McDonalds and had the same for half the price and it would have been just as good. The coffee at McDonalds would certainly have been a lot better too. It’s the fake fifties stuff that draws you in and then you get hosed with the bill.
I really like how there is a 50s diner in this small town city. It reminded me of those diners you see in those movies that take place in the 50s like Grease or something. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast meal with a veggie patty as well as a orange crush float. I was slightly disappointed with the float because I was expected them to be in those long tall glasses that you always see in those classic movies and shows, but it was in a metal cup. But whatever it still tasted good.
Worst service I’ve ever had. I used to love this place… Typical 50s dinner with decent greasy grub. The service has never been spectacular but today I was appauled at what I had to deal with. I work in customer service and I give a lot of leway but not today and I will never come back. The waitress took forever, didnt refill my drink at all, ignored us almost completely and when she screwed up my order she said I’d have to pay to have it corrected. When I asked for her boss no one came out and then she said she would fix it and then blamed me for her mistake. I then called her out on her bad service and the table beside us even agreed as she was so rude to them as well. The food here isn’t even worth dealing with this so I’m never coming back!
