Come here only for the chicken and fries and you won’t be disappointed. Their poutine was also very good. Their cod fish was very bland and had no flavor. I’m eating fried food, I want to eat something that’s worth ingesting all that grease. The fish is not worth it at all.
I was very excited to try this place after knowing these were the same owners of the former Jo Blows restaurant who were known for their amazing fish and chips. Brownies is more of a fried chicken and fries place now while everything else comes secondary. Their chicken is fantastic, without a doubt and their fries are some of the best. The disappointment came in their cod, which used to be top notch at their former place, at brownies it’s an afterthought and lacked flavor. Their sides aren’t very good either. We tried their deep fried pickles and popcorn shrimp which was average at best. Come here only for their chicken and fries, it is some of the best.
Last night my wife noticed a new sign up on Dewdney Trunk close to 228 st.A new southern fried chickenChicken counter had found it’s place.!We decided to try it, and very glad we did.The place is clean, clean, clean. And the choices are many. Just opened in January. I know where I’ll be going for my Southern Fried Chicken.Very limited seating, takeout main idea. Full menu, I recommend it.It is in large parking lot asat 22899 Dewdney trunk, MR.
