My wife and I ordered from here today and what a disappointment. She ordered the salmon steak which came dry and very fishy tasting, she took two bites and gave up on it. I ordered a roast lamb but what I received was a rack of lamb at 10 dollars more than what I originally ordered would have cost. Being as it was rush hour and that we have a newborn baby at home and it was a take out order I decided to give the rack of lamb a shot (it has to be good at $25 a plate right?…Wrong) it was dry and overcooked. The tzaziki was good and so was the rice but the potato was dry too. I was told to pick up the order 35 minutes from the time we ordered I showed up 40 minutes after and had to wait 10 minutes there. All in all a bad experience, needless to say we will not be dining from there again and anyone we can influence will be directed away from pyrgos.
Great food great staff. The combination dinner for two is wonderful, a taste of everything and so flavourful. Great if you can’t make up your mind on which of the many tasty dinners to pick from.
1st time and not the last :). Ive lived in maple ridge my whole life and tonight was 1st time we ordered pick up from Pyrgos, a friend recommended it. When my husband returned with the food, there was no receipt. .it was more expensive than we thought, however after opening up everything it lookd like we had wrong order. So I phoned them, yes our order was wrong however they appogized and offered to fix it. Instead we took the credit and ate it. The food was fantastic, we had chicken souvlaki , chicken ribs/lasgana.. There was so much flavor, garlic toast was a bit burnt but super soft . The chicken was moist and spices just perfect. Had they not messed up we would never of known how good lasgana was.. I highly recommend this resturant and we will order again, thanks
Great food, although a bit too salty.. First time, love the interior, authentic Greek and clean. I ordered the Greek Platter, the wife the lamb and both were fantastic. Only suggestion would be to use less salt – everything seemed over salted, and the wife agreed. The rice was very good, moist and flavourful. Will be visiting in the future.
Pyrgos. Best Greek food I ever eaten and I tried several travelling all over.
I have tried many Greek restaurants over the years and none are as good as this one. Everything is fresh and tastes great! The staff is diligent and friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy quality and authentic Greek cusine. It really is the best place in town.
