First and last time dining here. The waitress was sitting at a table arguing with some one on her cell phone, after 10 she came over and asked if we’re ready to order. I asked for menus and a bottled water. She came back with menus and then stood there staring at us reading the menus. Husband quickly said cheese burger No veggies and fries and gravy. I asked what the soup of the day was and she wasn’t sure. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad.Husband enjoyed his burger and fries. My salad was missing 1. Chicken2. Caesar dressing. She disappeared into the back for at least 20 mins, by this time my husband was finished eating and ready to go. When waitress reappeared I let her know that my salad didn’t have chicken, or dressing on it. She just stared at me. I just left it there.
I noticed on their website that fish and chips were available until 10 pm. I arrived at 925 and was informed that only apps are being served. When I enquired about it, the waitress said the cook said apps only. I basically had to fight for my food. Their website also stated that the fish and chips are on special until 10. When I was about to pay, I was charged a different price. Again, when I enquired about it, I was told the waitress couldn’t change the price. I asked if there was anyone who could, she said no. There was no manager or supervisor on duty. When I asked for a card, I was told she didn’t have one, but there might be an email address on the website.I am from out of town and was looking for a place to shoot some pool and have a bite to eat. I will not be returning any time soon. Nor will I recommend it to anyone.
Prices have gone up, quality has gone down. Most of the meal was very bland.
The guinness came in a bud light glass which is strangely lazy since guinness give those things out (not to mention all of the servers wear guinness shirts so you’d think they would take some pride in serving the product). food was poor although a generous helping. had the ‘toad in a hole’ and the yorkshire pudding was bogus. my dad ordered a steak and kidney pie and received a mushroom and kidney pie. a replay of the 2012 grey cup was on tv instead of the live winnipeg jets game (i had to change the tv myself). however the service was very good. looks like a classic case of lazy management.
Service has gone down with the new management…prices have gone up, yet they water down their drinks and treat their live bands like garbage. Too bad – used to be a cool place to hang out.
St. Patrick’s Day. The service and atmosphere were AWESOME! Food and price couldn’t be beat! Friendly crowd!Parking was a bit iffy being downtown and all.Sketchy characters approached us for money outside.
Excellent evening meals. Takes your order quickly, food delivery is fast and delicious. North American & English meals. both are great.Alittle noisy, like an English Pub. Real nice place.
