Small family business, super friendly staff! In our opinion, the best soup in winnipeg – by far! Although their soup availability differs on weekdays and weekends (weekends have more soup choices!), its a great place to eat!
Small Family run restaurant. You might think of it as a hole in the wall but this place is seriously a hidden gem in Winnipeg. They have some of the best Chinese/Vietnamese dishes. You can tell the food is good and has authentic Asian cuisine when the place gets filled with other Asians. I came at a good time because the place started filling up right after and the kitchen staff had to come and help serve. They defiantly have a team dynamic going on and they are all very friendly. I always get the fish maw soup, it’s my top place for this dish. The area may seem a bit rough but don’t let that deter you from trying this place out, they have many loyal returning guests. If you’re around Downtown, and craving some Pho, this is the place to go! It’s super inexpensive, and the quantity is crazy.Dropped by here for lunch, starving, and I returned a happy well-fed person. It’s a small family run restaurant, with some good food options. The service is very warm, and they make sure you’re comfortable as soon as you enter in. They even help you with the menu, if you’re not too familiar with Chinese/Vietnamese dishes. I ordered the Beef on Beef Pho (Pho Chin?) and they took less than 5 mins to serve it. It was delicious, the beef was well-cooked and the flavours were gorgeous. The price is amazing for people on a budget! They offer an all you can eat buffet for 7.50! Overall, it’s a must visit, and must return restaurant!
Although this place seems small and do not have beautiful deco. But trust me, you won’t go to other restaurant once you had a bowl of noodle or their dishes, is extremely awesome and delicious!!!!!! No kidding!!!!! Try their honemade spicy sauce as well, and spring rolls, like a haven !!!
STILL top secret. Now serving special s / thurs fri sat / Philapino dishes …….great portions and good prices….this place should be standing room only….:)18 Nov, 2013Best kept secret in town. The absolute best kept secret in town!. We drive all the way from Ashern to go for supper here. It is a time capsule experience. The hosts are wonderful people, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is quaint and an enjoyable experience. The consomme has a homemade taste that you will not find anywhere else. Always ask for a side of hot sauce….it is also homemade and delicious. All of the dishes are great. Annie and John will indulge you with an everlasting memory. And…you will be back!
