more of a review in this guys driving skills. was caught behind a dark blue gmc sierra with greektown winnipeg on the back window. was driving like a maniac down main street. crossing the lines half way into other lanes. he cut me off while turning from york onto main and almost hit me. could see he kept looking around for something on the floor while driving, probably texting. was doing 70 on main. sat at a green light and didnt move till i honked, then raced to a red light and slammed on his brakes and stopped past the stop line almost half way in the intersection. went over the disraeli bridge and his engine roared, he probably hit 100 to 110 km. all while swerving in his lane. if i didnt know better id say he was drunk. plate # was something like ghd 505. dont support someone who endangers customers lives.also, to the guy in the truck, when youve got a company name on your vehicle, why would you drive like that? it costs you business.

This food truck is usually parked on south Broadway near the Subway. The white and blue truck is pretty distinctive, so it is easy to find. This side of the street doesn’t attract as many people as the north side, so there is usually no wait to buy food. The menu has a fair amount of variety for a food truck. The usual Greek dishes that you find such as gyros, moussaka, lemon potatoes and the like. It is a tad pricey given that it is street food and not a sit down restaurant. I ordered a gyro and it was $10. Not outlandish, but not a tremendous value either. A canned drink was another $2. The owner steps out of the truck and hovers around you while you try to decide. I didn’t really care for this. He is friendly enough, but I found that his method came across as a bit pushy to me. He loudly stated my order to the guy in the truck. My food was prepared fairly quickly and was handed to me wrapped in wax paper that these places all seem to use. I was impressed with the amount of meat that was in the gyro. It was fresh and hot, but didn’t seem as seasoned as I am used to. The pita was very good. It was fresh and on the thicker side, but had a good texture. I had lettuce with my gyro and it was fresh and crisp romaine lettuce as opposed to the usual iceberg lettuce I normally see. After finishing, I decided to try dessert. I had the baklava. It was good, but it was quite a small piece for $5. It was served in a cardboard container that had a lid. It is kept in a refrigerator and seemed fresh. I would have liked a bit more honey, but the phyllo pastry was very good. Overall, I liked my meal, and I would go back if I was in the mood for Greek food.
