Awesome lunch. Excellent quick lunch, $6.33 for soup and a hot sandwich. Made real quick in and out service nice staff. I would recommend this place to anybody who likes the home made taste of food.
Ordered roast chicken & potatoes with hot sauce. It was delicious and we’ll definitely be going back. It easily fed four of us & it was $15.
Great Value. You wouldn’t know it by looking at it from Sherbrook but I just had one of the best lunches I have had in a long time. Ordered the Biffana, delicious roast potatoes and tasty soup of the day for myself and two very picky female co workers. All three of us agreed it was awesome and only $16.03 filled all of us to the brim. Ninho will definitely be on the short list for favorite lunch spots. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
Not sure how this place is able to serve food. Very unsanitary!!! The food I ordered was cod fish and potatoes and was salty and saturated in oil. I also noticed alot of expired products. Wont be coming back.
Great bifana!. If there’s one thing I love from this place it’s their bifana. A meat sandwich with onions, a spicy marinade kind of sauce, and a soft bun. It’s a great price too! I just wish it weren’t so far from where I lived to make the trek to this place.
Ninho de Portugal: A Family Favourite. I have frequented Ninho de Portugal since I was little. All of my family (we’re portuguese, there’s a lot of us!) shop here frequently. Carlos is a great person and can always put a smile on your face. The Bifana’s obviously are amazing as well as the potatoes. You can also get home made Chorizo which is amazing in soup and well, in everything.I noticed no one had mentioned any of the baked goods! Our family favourites are : Pasteis de Nata and Queijadas (kay-jah-dahs). They’re kept in a display in the counter, you could just point to it if you didn’t want to try pronouncing it. They are fantastic and come in packs of 6. Pasteis de Nata’s are fresh flaky pastry with custard and Queijadas are very similar except no pastry. If you’re heading down for a Bifana be sure to pick up a pack, you won’t be disappointed! This is a great family owned business that I have never been disappointed with.
Cheap Take Out. And when I say cheap, I mean inexpensive !!I ordered their famous Bifana, daily soup and 2 cod cakes to go. There is no dine in here. The Bifana was excellent, (though the pork was a little dry), the flavours were exceptional with the cooked onions and hot sauce and marinated meat all melding well together. The huge container of soup I received was also tasty though a little more salty than I would prefer. Still though I love collard greens and this soup had good flavour. The cod cakes were also good, again a little more salty than I am used to but a steal at $1 each. And the best part about it was that everything with tax cost me only $8.54. Best deal in town !Service was very warm and helpful.
