Sorrento’s serves great food! I love coming here for casual supper until the time where the staff ruined my experience, not once but twice…. I always order take-out through Skip the Dishes. How Skip works is that you pay the order online ahead of time before pick-up. There was a time where I had my friend to pick up the order for me. At pick-up, the server requested him to pay. He did not realize the bill had already been taken care of so he did. When I found out, I contacted the restaurant for a refund of the double charged payment. I was told that the management would contact me the next day to follow up on the refund. A few days had gone by, I still had not heard anything back. I called the restaurant once again and was told to phone back another time as the manager was away. I had made at least four other calls to finally be able to reach the manager. Long story short, if I had not followed up with one phone call after the next, the money would never have been refunded… I had not gone back to Sorrento’s for a year ever since the incident. Recently, I decided to go back to give it another shot. Once again, I was asked to pay for the order at pick-up even though I had already done so through Skip…..I was quite disappointed of how absent-minded the staff was because the bill had writing on it indicating that the payment was completed. Only if the staff had paid attention to the bill, this all would’ve been avoided. In summary, I would still recommend Sorrento’s to future customers but just be mindful to not have much expectations on the staff.

The service was slow. They gave me a mop for my pasta it was dry had no sauce and looked like a rappers haircut. I found a hair in my salad and the electricity outlet shocked my friend and destroyed his charging cube. Worst part was she took my salad and didn’t even give me my money back or a new salad!

Came here with my mom for dinner. We first went to sit on the bar side but was barely greeted by a server who was absolutely miserable so we moved into the dining section. When we asked to be seated in the dining room instead, five servers stood there completely puzzled and confused with what to do… finally we were seated at a table for two. Luckily we ended up with a friendly and attentive server. We grabbed an appetizer and salad to share. The portion sizes were absolutely huge. I definitely want to try the pasta and pizza next time we visit as it looked and smelled delicious!

I am torn on this review. Sorrento’s makes unbelievable salads, but their pizza? I ordered a reg salad anda small 3 topping pizza for pick up. $35.00 plus tip. They said on the phone 15 mins, I got there5 mins early so thepizza would be hot. Well the salad was good, but for $15.00 it should have been amazing (no bread sticks or garlic bread). The pizza was cool and tiny. The thin crust had NO flavor. I think I will stick with their salads going forward. It would be nice to be able to grab a great pizza and a great salad in one stop!

I was in the area the other night and figured I’d give Sorrento’s a try as it had been a good 10 years if not more since I visited the Charleswood location. It was around 9:30 pm when I placed an order for a large Sorrento specialty pizza. I had a coupon from the show and save (50% off any one pizza) and decided why not give this place a try since its been a while and I’m in the area. The pizza was pretty good. The tomato sauce and the toppings were great but the crust wasn’t as good as I hoped for. It was a thinner crust that tasted a bit dry. Even the day after, warmed up the leftovers and the crust became more dry so I ate around it; which I never leave the crust when I eat zah lol… But It just wasn’t cutting it. So, if you aren’t a crust person then the pizza is pretty decent. I really did enjoy the toppings and sauce on the pizza. Not sure if I just lucked out with dough that had been sitting since I picked up my order later in the evening, or if that is how it is regularly. The woman working who gave me my order and handled payment was very polite and nice to deal with.

Mentioning that the portion sizes are large would be an extremely huge understatement. This was a fantastic meal, the sorrento’s salad is a treat but even he starter salad could be an entire meal. Eat here if you are extremely hungry, if not, you’ll have a great lunch for the next day!

Depends on what you order. My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant frequently. It has dynamite salads. That is when they have the right salad dressing.I really enjoy their cheese salad with French dressing. However they have been out of French dressing at least 5 times in the past 5 months. As a substitute I have ordered pasta with their Marinara sauce and pasta with their meat sauce. They both leave a lot to be desired. Both sauces are more like a jarred Ragu than a home made sauce. I am Italian and have eaten at most Italian restaurants in the city. This sauce is the worst that I have had.If you are looking for a great salad this is the place. If you are looking for good pasta then skip this restaurant.
