Since I needed a break from fries and burgers, we decided to have sushi on a Friday night at Sushi Park. Very cozy atmosphere, cute decor and great music selection. Too bad I couldn’t say I enjoyed the sushi as much. We ordered vegetable, white tiger, special, shitake mushroom and 2 other types of rolls that I can’t remember. The rice was extremely mushy that it almost felt like we were having rice flour wrapped around fish and vegetable. Also nothing had any flavor, everything tasted bland and all wet, nothing seemed to be fresh and carefully made even though we had too wait quite a while for our food (there were only 2 more tables at the time). Service was friendly but extremely slow and again, it wasn’t even busy when we were there. I don’t think I will ever come back.

Excessive rice in a sloppy package. We were really taken in by the cozy atmosphere and friendly service at Sushi Park. My girlfriend had to retract her early compliments on my restaurant choice after leaving with nearly half of our sushi rolls uneaten. We ordered mostly veggie rolls, the yam roll being the only one we enjoyed. The others had WAY too much rice. So much rice that we had no desire to finish our meal. We NEVER leave sushi on the plate. Ever. I could be in pain from overeating and every ounce of sushi roll would still disappear. Every roll was so poorly wrapped that many pieces fell apart when you first grabbed them with your chopsticks. The spicy salmon roll was soaked in an overwhelming amount of Sriracha and couldn’t be finished. We politely complained when asked how things were. The very friendly server told us they don’t normally make oshinko or kanpyo rolls plus the chef was rushing to fill the orders of a mostly empty restaurant plus takeout orders. We only boxed up and took our sushi as to not waste it. On the way out I saw a mixed bag of adequately and over-riced rolls on a couple of tables. If they could reign in the rice ratio and establish some consistency in quality wrapping, I feel like this restaurant could be a real gem. But, with so many established sushi gems already in the city we will never be back to check up on Sushi Park.

Honestly, I’ve tried many many many sushi restaurants…but no one can beat SUSHI PARK! Their sushi are so delicious and very affordable! I recommend the Sushi Pizza, doesn’t matter which one, just try it. Try the agedashi tofu as well.sooo good. Uggh. How I wish I still in Winnipeg.

Really good sushi for a great price. The service is usually very friendly in quick. I also enjoy how they have a coupon in the Show and Save which lots of places don’t.

My boyfriend, his daughter and I went to sushi Park for dinner this evening. We had the Miso Soup which was very nice, the Shitake Rolls whick very good, and the absolutely fantastic Tempura Shrimp. This is a fave place for the other two but was my first time there. The atmosphere was quiet, but very clean and pleasant. The decor somewhat plain. The service was wonderful. I would go eat there again.

unexpectedly good! The restaurant was warm and cozy, and keep some privacy for each spot. I ordered ‘roll bento (2 rolls+1 tempura+salad)’ which costs 11.99. They offer bento menu all day. gosh… the size of rolls was so big… each roll comes with 6 pieces, I think it was way to good with the price. I selected ‘creamy salmon roll’, ‘scallop roll’ and ‘yam tempura’. The yam tempura was a little bit greasy but it was okay. I was so impressed by the overall quality.( a bit of regret I didn’t take any picture 😐 ) The amount of ingredient inside of the rolls were A LOT (a lot of scallop). Much more than other restaurants (usually teeny-tiny 6 pieces)…impressive. It is a bit far from where I live, but it was worth to drive there. I realized all of bento is 9.99 during lunch time, I would definitely come back.

I’ve been here for lunch on numerous occasions and have been impressed each time. I normally order the lunch bento with a California roll, Tempura shrimp, Edamme and spring rolls. Great food, wonderful service and nice atmosphere.
