Went for lunch Dec.28th .. excellent, tasty food and OMG – 1 lunch plate was enough for 2.Brought home the balance. I’d recommend it to everyone, if eating out was the subject.Elaine
I would have rated higher based on the food but I went there to pick up my order and found the front of house staff to be less than friendly. It has made me not want to return which is a shame because its close to home.
There are many great Greek restaurants in Winnipeg. Taverna Rodos is about as perfect as you can get. If Greek flair is your go-to, please check Taverna out. Bring an empty stomach, ’cause the servings are bountiful. Even a bowl of soup might do some people as a meal. We have always enjoyed great, friendly, on-top-of-their-game service. I love this place!
I have only ordered out through skip the dishes and have only ordered the chicken souvlaki. The chicken souvlaki is great, the best I’ve had from a restaurant. The skewers are completely full with I’d say a full chicken breast. The Greek salad which comes with it is great, and the lemon potatoes are also great. The only thing I wish they did was roast the potatoes, but that is minor as it still has great flavor. When I get around it dining in I will edit my review to reflect my experience, but so far I am impressed.
The most amazing breakfasts we have ever had. I always order the 2 egg breakfast, comes with meat (bacon is what I get), potatoes (the absolute best breakfast potato I have ever had), toast and coffee. And the price is under $10! My partner always gets an omelette, and it never disappoints either. We are pretty much regulars there for breakfast, and would suggest it to anyone looking for some good bang for your buck.
Great food, and lots of it. Both ordered clubhouse with salad and fries mix. Clubhouse was loaded with layers of real turkey, light and dark. The bacon was very tasty. Nice amount of salad and fries, which were also very tasty. For $13, it can’t be beat. Best clubhouse I had in a long time.
Sitting here enjoying breakfast, and saw this totally undeserved rating. So, it is time for an honest review…. coffee- 5. Food- 5. Service- 5. Monica the owner is wonderful and always comes around to chat with the customers. You feel like family here, and they feed you like your own mother- delicious and lots of it! It is so good that we have come here to celebrate both my wife’s and my birthdays. After all, you want to spend your birthday with your family, and that is how you feel at Taverna Rodos!
