I love this place! There was only one server but he was super fast and super friendly. The food took sometime but I didn’t mind cos it was so amazing. Both the meat dishes and dimsun was soooo good. I’ll def go back again!
This place went downhill fast, unfortunately. :(Service remains the same. Inattentive, but if you keep waving enough you’ll eventually capture their attention. At least the price for happy hour $1.99 still, great deal. During the day you can order from the front and get your ticket signed off, but the disadvantage is that you are limited to the selection at the front. Some foods are also cold and have been sitting there a while. If you go at night you can order happy hour dishes straight from the menu and they’ll make it as you order. It’s great to eat here if you are out and need a late night place to chow down.Beware if you get the show and save book and use the 50% coupon. They overcharge and say it is half off when it isn’t. Read your bill carefully. What was supposed to be a deal, we ended up paying so much more. The owner was not open to disputing this, unfortunately.
My second experience here at Jing jing was awful the food was cold and some not cooked. the also have something on the wall that looks like blood dripping. and you can’t even understand them. I came at happy hour and they have a weird dining concept. it was like buffet style but you still paid for each and every item instead of one price for all your food. terrible service. terrible restaurant
Not the greatest food. Can’t really communicate with staff as they can’t understand English. I needed to repeat myself quite a few times before I had to say ‘forget it’. They charge $2.39 for dim sum which is comparable to other restaurants that serve dim sum. However, if you’re dining in at Jing Jing, they will charge you an extra $1.00 per person just to sit there and eat. Might as well go somewhere else where they won’t charge you to dine in and where staff can speak and understand English.
Very disappointing and hands down the worse Chinese food I had. Manchu wok is 3x better! Every single dish that we had was either salty, bland, or looked disgusting. Even the crab meat cream corn soups consistency was like water. Overpriced! Never going back there again. Was very hard to communicate with the server cause she didn’t know how to speak English. Five thumbs down!!!! Save your money and eat somewhere else
Nice dim sum. Went for dim sum a few months back, it was great! I really like that you can see all of the dim sum options before you pile them up on your tray. And there’s so many options, I think the most I’ve seen for dim sum in Winnipeg. I’ve also had hot pot here, it was good too! First time trying tendon for me, it was very tasty! :)Uhmm the service was so-so, even though we were with people that knew the owners/talking in not english (lol), we still had a bit slow service and the broth for hot pot took a long time to get out. But it’s worth it for how cheap and tasty it is haha.
I’ve been eating dim sum for many years (since childhood) and decided to try Jing Jing as they serve dim sum at hours most other restaurants won’t. Big mistake. The food was absolutely horrible, some of which smelt sour as it was rancid. We order Chinese perogies and noticed the server reheated it in the microwave. Not only was the food bad but the service didn’t even exist. We had to flag down a server to take our order, refill our tea and take payment. The sad thing was, was there was only 1 other table seated besides me and my guest. Unfortunately all the workers (our server included) were eating at a table towards the kitchen while customers were present. If you accidentally went to Jing Jing to try dim sum for the first time, please give it another try but at a real Chinese restaurant.
