First and last time for us. The wife and I visited this place last night and were not at all impressed. We ordered an item amoung others one we didn’t care for we called the girl over explained why. We ordered another item to replace it with an that was alright. We then got a surprise when the bill came, I questioned to the same girl why the first item was not removed, she went on to explain that it was not her fault we didn’t enjoy it and we still had to pay for it. I had to explain again that this was not fair cause we only tasted it an immediately called her to replace it. We paid for it just to avoid a scene believe me we will avoid this place forever.

I have been going to Kings Palace for nearly 25 years and touted this restaurant as the BEST in Canada – best wonton soup, best pan fried shrimp and best sweet and sour chicken. Under the new ownership there has been a change in recipe’s. The wontons no longer have those nice shrimpy chunks and the broth is bland. IN the chop suey they use chicken roll instead of fresh chicken and their sauces are watery and tasteless. Sadly I will no longer be eating there unless the new ownership reinstates some of the old recipes. When they first took over food was fairly similar and while not King’s traditional quality was still #1. This is no longer the case – the recipe’s have changed entirely. Farewell King’s Palace – Rest in Peace old friend!
The reviews are right this place is going downhill. This place used to be the best place for ordering food. Our family has been going here for over 20 years and recently (within the last 3 months) the food and service has changed.If you’ve been here in the past, you would have noticed that the place always has people in it eating. Now it’s like a ghost town. The servers are not very attentive and the food comes tasteless, bland, and unimpressive. This was not a single occurrence either. I gave the establishment 3 separate visits to confirm the dishes were not as good as they used to be. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
