My husband and I have enjoyed eating st Rae and Jerrys over the years until recently… A few weeks ago we decided a nice dinner out would be in order. I should have known it would be a bust when I tried to phone for a reservation and no one picked up the phone. Finally after several tries over an hour or two someone picked up. Once we got there our server was aloof and scarce. The restaurant was quiet. My husband ordered the filet. His side of cauliflower with cheese sauce was mush and his food was not hot. I had the halibut. Again the cauliflower was subpar, my baked potato tasted reheated and the so called white wine butter sauce was cornstarch thickened and tasteless. Unfortunately it was a hundred dollar disappointment. We both said we were glad we hadnt brought anyone with us we would have been embarrassed. Unfortunately the institution we used to love disappointed us so much we wont be back

The interior was as promised very retro with red vinyl and dark wood as far as the eye can see. Our service was okay. Not as attentive as I would have liked but friendly enough. Now for the food. The starter of calamari was pretty comparable to other calamari you can get around the city. Everything else was about the same. The baked potato comes with nothing on it as well as both the green beans and spinach. The high point was definitely the steak which was a perfect cut and mostly medium rare as requested. I dont know that Ill be back.

Someone ordered the lobster and it came out extremely dry, we had to send it back. Also they were out of a few entre options. The sides were super average. Two stars for good service and atmosphere.. quality of food is not where it needs to be for the price range.
