Place is not managed well, people who work there wouldn’t care about you. Tables aren’t cleaned properly. Food is expensive for the quality and quantity. Would not ever come back unless I’m forced to.
Friend recommended me to try their wrapped fried banana for a snack or dessert. So off to this place and grabbed two pieces of the fried bananas and it was very good at reasonable price. Nothing fancy at this place. I won’t hesitate to stop by again for the fried bananas only.
When I really want to EAT.. this place! :). Pork Menudo please! You guys make food like FOOD. It’s sooo good. Highly recommended especially if you’re looking for a miracle version of asian food!
Prices keep going up!. I used to love this place, I’ve been a customer for about 5 years or so. I went in today and their prices are up, AGAIN. This happens at least two times a year. I stayed loyal and kept coming because the food was still worth the price, but take out prices going up all the time has made me change my mind. I used to order spring rolls for my office, and they also went up by $5.00! You can get Filipino food a better price somewhere else. Try Juvian’s!Makes me sad, but I won’t be back.
Home Cooked Goodness!. We knew we wanted to try some filipino fare, but didn’t know where to start. This is perplexing because we feel that there are a lot of Filipino’s kickin’ around Winnipeg, and they are some of the nicest people around, as well as some of the best food lovers! I’m not surprised they hide all their awesome food, because it is SO WHOLESOME. We stepped inside CB’s and didn’t know what to expect, and at first I was really confused. Pay first, then pick food? Pick food then pay first? You definitely pick your combination and then pay to the left. Just POINT! I have been doing research into what I ate, and my fiance and I shared about five dishes (under $20) that were all super tasty and filling. There was the braised pork belly (described as something between a pork chop and bacon, slightly charred but genuinely cooked over a fire) we had pork adobo in some wonderful broth, there was some sort of pork curry in a brown sauce that I haven’t gotten to yet, beef broth (complimentary a long with WONDERFUL garlic rice that really blends well with all the dishes) and then another yellow curry with green beans and potatoes in a coconut sauce. All in all totally worth every penny and I would strongly recommend you bring your friends for a super casual but yummy dining experience!Unassuming, but elegant in it’s wholesome nature- WE WILL BE BACK!
Typical ‘ulam’ dish. Nothing fancy. But you’ll leave the resto satisfied
Fast and Cheap. Cafeteria style, you pay before you sit down. Less than $10 for three small dishes, rice and soup. Nothing fancy, but it will fill you up.
