I personally love Chicken Chef. It’s not fancy, it’s ugly inside and the food is mediocre but I appreciate that. It’s not trying to be something it’s not. It knows it’s mediocre and it’s ok with that. Also super fast delivery and the chicken always tastes good. The poutine is very expensive for what you get though, so avoid that. But if you’re craving fried chicken and fries without a fuss, you’ve come to the right place. It’s also open until 1am!

I think the Souris population must be warned not to encourage a man of this kind of case. We do not need that in our municipality. The judge was very lenient with regard to this individual. If we do the same in his country, there is a good chance that we would be stoned and killed. So I think the judge should reconsider the sentence of a man and extradite him to his country of origin. Parents with children should think twice before encouraging this individual. I think it would be our duty to sign a petition and send it to the municipal authority to ask the man to leave the city, or to do as in the other province of the country, post a sign in front his business and his property stating that it is a criminal sexual act, just for people to be alert.This is at the Souris location…..not a safe place to go…..
Terrible customer service! Charged me x 2 for order and Management refused to give me $ back. Never will step foot in again. Not worth the headache for mediocre food & crappy service.
Hi went to the chicken chef on marion st. st boniface today bad service. Mash potatos where cold sent them back just heated potatos in micowave. Did not give us fresh so I said I would like fresh potatos so this time they gave us very very hot potatos with gravy my husband burnt his mouth by the time we get are potatoes we at most of are chickens. So talk to manager about this he had lack of concern. He gave us the middle finger and then he said I’ll give you two fingers not one but two. This is not how you run a restaurant. A NEGATIVE REVIEW ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!
Best Chicken in Winnipeg. I tried Chicken Chef for the first time today. I had it delivered. The delivery person was polite, friendly, and a pleasure to chat with while I was using the interact machine. We bought the 12 piece chicken dinner with fries, coleslaw, and dinner rolls. The product was hot, chicken was absolutely delicious, coleslaw tasted home made, and the dinner rolls were also a great treat. The price was reasonable. We found the chicken to be meaty, not heavily breaded, not heavily salted, just perfect. I will continue to order my chicken from Chicken Chef from now on.
Used to like this place. Used to be a regular. Staff was always friendly and the food was ok (typical diner fare). They got a new waitress though who’s really rude. Been there three times when this lady is working and probably won’t go back any time soon. Less of a food, more of a service issue.
WHAT HAPPENED?. We used to like the food here but it has gone downhill. Getting good service depends on whose working. A man somehow connected to the restaurant was sitting close to us with a loud obnoxious woman yelling at her kids. One of the unruly kids was kicking the table which was felt in our next booth. She than was on her cell phone. The man kept on going to the kitchen. This table had no manners at all. If you cannot show some respect for other customers dine at home. We went out for a nice lunch and left completely stressed. Chicken was overdone/potato salad was terrible/hashbrowns almost burnt. The restaurant on Portage Ave. has way better food. For sure we will never be back.
