The past 3 times I’ve been to Garbanzos, the service is terrible. It takes the servers 15-20 minutes just to come take our drink orders, and u the time they finally get here we already know what we want to eat. If you ask for a refill, they’ll probably forget and not bring you one. The lack of urgency in their work is very disappointing.
Just as a warning to everyone Do not go to Garbonzo’s. If you order a meal your fries will be half the size of your kid’s kids meal fries. Absolutely ridiculous for being more than double the price of a kids meal!
I just ordered from skip the dishes, got the chicken wing sampler, well 2 sets of wings came with no sauce, I wanted garlic parm and honey dill, both just deep fried…gross, the bbq ones were OK but not the best sauce, ordered a bacon cheese bbq burger, well it was charred, all it tasted like was a burnt burger…so fricken gross, hardly any fries, I hardly touched any of it. Never again
Before attending, keep in mind that this place is usually overrun with students from the university next door.That out of the way, the place is pretty dark and even during the day around 2:00pm it’s dark. Staff is also oddly scheduled so it may take a while for anyone to notice you’re there at all for a while. Once they do though, service is an adequate speed. Not phenomenal, but ok. Service is also not super cheery most of the time (see remark about student population) but they are not bad! Just probably exhausted.Food, however, is good! Tasty food, good portions, decent price, and overall good experience. I wouldn’t suggest it for anything but a laid back encounter (don’t come for a large gathering or birthday event) but I would suggest a pop in especially for their chicken fingers!Cheers!
I have always loved the pizza here. I usually go to the Fort Garry location, but came here with friends one night for the 1/2 priced pizza. The service was a little slow, and they messed up my order but the manager was extremely accommodating and turned if from a negative experience to very positive one. I love the pizza, I think it’s some of the best pizza in the city.
This Garbonzo’s was the worst i have ever seen slow service, bitchy waitress, bad drinks, crappy food must i go on about this place.
Usually end up going to Pub Stumpers on Wednesday evenings. Although we never eat because the food is terrible and will most likely take an hour to get. The drinks usually take 15 or 20 minutes to get and aren’t usually worth the wait. The service is seriously lacking, and honestly, they don’t seem to care. But when you tip and you don’t leave a great one, they WILL roll their eyes at you.
