I was going here for the student loan breakfast and it was reasonable for about 4$ you get eggs and toast and some deep fried hashbrowns. The soups are hit and miss, honestly sometimes they are just so horrible, once I poured the soup into a to go container and smelt it and had to actually let them know at the till that I wouldn’t be purchasing it and just left it on the counter. Then the last straw was yesterday, went to go get the breakfast and a mouse was darting around in there. Kind of lost my appetite and walked out. Also I agreethe prices are ridiculous, I’m not a student but I don’t even want to pay 2$ for a tea bag (no cup or water just wanted the tea bag) or $7 for a burger, after allJuniors is just down the street.
Consistently terrible. Food is way overpriced, usually small portions, and mostly flavourless. I usually get a soup when I am forced to eat here because it is one of the cheapest items and sometimes not terrible. But you’d be better off going to grab takeout on ellice or even subway.
The worst. I am constantly looking for a good place to grab lunch around the campus and I think I’ll stick with subway from now on. For one, it’s all overpriced and flavourless. I had the pasta salad once and it was a tiny portion for 5-6 dollars and had no taste, I think the sauce was just mayo and all it had was green peppers and shell pasta. I also tried a roasted tomato and red pepper chipotle soup and it tasted like canned tomatoes floating in water. Really hesitant to go back here, but with the limited amount of options at the university I might have to.
Horribly overpriced, tiny portions, food is inconsistent and poorly executed.
Overpriced for what you get, often have to wait in line so long you have to leave with nothing so you can get to class. Go anywhere else if you have the option.
Every year the prices get higher and the food portions get smaller. Not only is it bland, but the food is so small you go hungry. I’m all for local/organic stuff, but it’s kind of counter productive to have such an expensive cafeteria when the majority of the customers are STUDENTS – FYI, one of the poorest people anyways. $6 for 3 small chicken fingers – and that doesn’t include a drink or fries. Almost $7 for a hamburger, and other outrageous prices. Many students complain about the cafeteria’s prices but as usual, the University does nothing about anyones complaints. Anyways, I’d rather go to the UWSA-run Soma Cafe across the street where they keep their prices reasonable, or Subway – because I wouldn’t break the bank if I went there AND I won’t be hungry!
The food tends to be bland and over priced.
