The all you can eat fish is amazing. Delicious moist and crispy with their classic fries for really cheap. I’d definitely come back. The service is a little bit slow and the tables could use a little more maintenance but the food is still great.
Winnipeg – Regent location, missed part of my order, that I paid for. I really hate when this happens. You had one job to do. They must be owned by the same people, that own Chicken Delight on Nairn Ave. #fail
Beer battered fish is absolutely delish. Not very greasy and the price is ok. I was pretty surprised by the quality of the food. Halibut was wonderful and even my husband enjoyed it and he was nearly force fed as he hates fish.Ok service, decent prices, good food; give it a try!
Don’t try the calamari. Stop for a light lunch of clam chowder and calamari. Chowder was acceptable but not noteworthy. The calamari it was very thickly sliced and too rubbery to chew. When we informed the staff she indicated that all calamari was like that and suggested that we did not know that. When we corrected her she ignored it and simply took the plate away. She still charged us for it and never eve on apologized. Our last time going there!
Mmmmmmm…..crab!. A relaitve treated us to Joey’s on Friday, and since the nightly special was crab, and I’ve never had real crab before, I decided to go with it.Although the total quantity of meat you get out of a crab is relatively small, it’s an adventure breaking up the legs and claws, and hunting down every morsel. Be prepared to hose off afterwards, as breaking up a crab is definitely a hands-on experience. The crab tasted great, and is prepared very simply, either by boiling or steaming, I assume.A fun treat I’ll definitely try again in the future.12 Jul, 2011Very good Fish and Chips. Consistently good fish. I’ve had lots of fish and chips in Britain, where they’ve made a science out of it, and the stuff Joey’s sells is pretty much identical. We once happened to drop in on all-you-can-eat rib night, and the ribs aren’t half bad at all, either.Obviously, since all they do is deep fry food, be prepared to go home smelling like fryer grease.mmmmmmm…..fryer greaseService is always fast and friendly.
I went for supper with my daughters. I had the all you can eat fish and chips, fantastic! Great service and great food! Better get there early it’s a busy place!
Good prices and reflected in the quality. Being as land locked as Winnipeg is, it is hard to not find previously frozen fish and this clearly is! Still reasonable fare at a reasonable price. Sure to satisfy any seafood craving. Stick w fish and chips!
