My friends and I visited across the board on a Sunday afternoon. We had SO much fun playing all our old childhood games. I really wanted to like the food because I love the concept of this place! We were looking forward to ordering from the dinner menu but when we arrived we were told we could only order from the lunch menu. Nothing appealed to us so we each ordered something small. I had the Caesar salad and it was not very good. My friend said her soup was gritty. However, the sangria was really good. Next time Ill come at dinner time or else eat before I go.
Do not order the $16 stir fry. I was told by the server that it’s the largest and most filling entree on the menu. In fact it was completely the opposite. Portion was probably half a bowl and wasn’t filling at all. I finished it 10 minutes before everyone else finished their meals. Absolutely terrible.
Food was good. We went as a big group and had pre-ordered. Meals came out slowly. Some people were done eating when others were just getting there food. Besides that it was all very good and the staff friendly.
They’ve reopened at a much better location! I’d say their main competition is Parlour who is a few doors down….but in terms of innovation and taste Across the Board has the upper hand. They have wonderful gluten free options and I loved their coffee. Would highly recommend! XOXO
Stopped here for a quick bite and they had an interesting menu which should satisfy both adult and child… and games for the inner child! I had the King of Tokyo noodle bowl and they didn’t hold back or go skimpy on anything. The beef was tender and the miso broth was delicious. Full of flavour and lots of veggies, but not overwhelming. Side Caesar and mouse trap for the kids were perfect for a quick bite. I can’t wait to try a few more of the items on the menu and come back with friends for a game night with cocktails! Great idea for a casual fun night out and looking forward to the veggies rolls and pizza next time.
We went to Across the Board for the first time and I was very impressed! Decor was lovely, and there is huge selection of games! The servers and game masters were both super helpful and the food was delicious. Best chocolate cake I’ve ever had! Will be back!
I love Across the Board! The food is awesome, especially the new menu. The Karuba pizza is my favourite. The gamers are super helpful, and the staff is generally really friendly. I try to come her with friends and family whenever possible and constantly find myself recommending it to people.
