Actually quite tasty, especially for mall food. The food is fresh and the flavours really pop. The rice is even quite good on its own. The curries are very good. Careful with some dishes though because some are hotter than they are at most other places and this happens only sometimes so you can never quite decide if it will be as hot that day. Prices are good and it’s fast food so no wait! I good go to downtown.
Lots of rice – dry chicken. Small amount of butter chicken on 4 heaping piles of rice for 9.05$ – I might have considered paying this much again if it had tasted good but the chicken in the butter chicken was very overcooked and they didn’t clean the chicken well as I kept biting into fat and hard to chew pieces. This was during lunch time so I would expect better quality even from a buffet style.
Nice decent food. I’ve tried this place for lunch and the servings are pretty decent and just the right amount. The spring rolls are really good freshly cooked and warm. I will definitely go back and recommend this place for fast Indian food. The server at the counter is friendly and efficient so with the owner.

Very small portion, pricey, and cold Indian food. I went there today for a try at my lunch hour. I paid $8.70 for a butter chicken and naan bread combo. What I got is really bad. I uploaded the pictures for what I paid today which is captured real. The pictures uploaded in the Chef Express of India, they all looks fancy and huge. But, for real what I paid for is not that fancy at all. With my order, the nann bread is burnt. The salad is ridiculous small like a portion for a little kid. you can see how small portion of salad he gave me which he can see the bottom of the box with sauce. Small portion, pricey is what I can conclude for my lunch today from the Chef Express of India. The butter chicken not even hot, is like cool. Is that even worth for me to pay $8.70 to get that? It is better to spend that at Tim Horton or either Thai Express instead of throwing your money to get some not even worth. I will definitely will NOT go back there again, I post some pictures what I got today, which I strongly do not suggest people to go there for even a try. Since a try going to be a regret= waste of money!
Pretty good!. I have to admit, I would have never bought lunch at Chef Express of India if I hadn’t heard good things from my co-worker. Good word-of-mouth and a Show-and-Save coupon? I thought, WHY NOT?! I had butter chicken, vegetable korma, and rice with a vegetable samosa on the side. The vegetable korma was delicious. The rice was good, but rather dry as the server was quite skimpy on the sauce from the korma and butter chicken. The butter chicken did not taste like Clay Ovens’s, it had little to no heat. But all in all, it was a good, quick, cheap lunch. I would probably order the vegetable korma again, but not the butter chicken.
Delicious!! What a surprise definitely worth checking out. Some of the best indian food I’ve had yet in the city.
