So I have been coming 2 this restaurant 4 over 10 years with lots of friends, had the worst experience with a young waiter at noon on Monday Sept 28 2015. My friend had a meal that wasn’t to her liking, the fish wasn’t cooked enough and the rice was cold so she wanted it cooked more but the waitor right off the hop said there was nothing he could do 4 her. Very disappointed with the manager who didn’t even come 2 our table but told the waiter he wouldn’t do anything and walked away. Once we decided that we would leave without eating, we got our meals to go, except my friend with her untouched meal. The waiter kept arguing with us, loudly in front of the other patrons embarrassing us, saying she would have 2 pay 4 the meal that she didn’t touch and wasn’t taking with her. We left after paying, the waiter left the interac machine with us and left, i assume 2 call the cops he was threatening us with. We left the restaurant and he ran after us and grabbed my arm. I told him not to touch me and he went to grab me again and I told him if he touched me again that I would call the cops on him and charge him with assault. He found security and we all told our sides and the waiter now lied and said my friend cut into her fish and we were eating and just up and left. The security said there was nothing he could do. I said we live in Canada and we have rights, like not paying for meals we didn’t even eat. A rating of only 1 because while my food would have been good, my experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We will never come back to this restaurant and will never recommend it to anybody.
The Greek Chicken Pita and the Cajun Taco Salad are favourites. However, The Greek Chicken Pita should come with Tzatziki sauce, not a Thousand Island version. There’s a disconnect here. I think it used to be tzatziki sauce. Portions are large with anything you order. Service warm & friendly. Four stars for flavour in meals. A nice spot to dine just before going to Prairie Theatre Exchange.
Chicken, yum. I love going here. My friends and I have been coming here for many years and im always satisfied. The cajun chicken taco salad is THE BEST ever. The waitresses r great and friendly and always recognize us.
Terrible service. Sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Needless to say I don’t know how the food is.
Simple dish but my poutine was amazing today…perfect amount of cheese with just enough gravy paired with perfectly cooked potatoes! YUM! i recommend going for a taste test for a naughty lunch!
Worst experience ever in Winnipeg. Waited too long to be seated although there were tables available. Four in our party but only two water glasses. Drinks were ordered but never received. Food was over cooked & chicken dry. One person ordered a pita, clam chowder but only got the pita. Another ordered a rueben with chowder and got chowder & a caeser salad. The bill was incorrest & took three attempts to correct. Do not go here. Our worst food experience yet in Winnipeg.
Great location but everything else sucks. My friends and I (6 of us) have been going to this restaraunt for several years prior to seeing our plays at PTE and while in the past it was wonderful, in the past year (under new management), it has significantly gone downhill. The female server there is very good, but management is very unorganized and the food was horrible and it was ice cold. I ordered a burger and fries which is pretty difficult to screw up but they managed too. As well, the management knows that the restaraunt can become very busy on theatre and Jets nights but they do not hire more staff or cooks for those evenings. They let the poor server deal with all the disgruntle customers as some folks didn’t even get there meals prior to having to leave for their events and those of us who did get our meals; the line up to pay becomes ridiculous as we all need to leave at the same time.Needless to say we are making different plans for dinner and won’t be returning.
