the positive Andrews our friendly server impeccable in is capacity very proactive on costumers demand.the main courses were only disturbed by a poor delivered baked potato hard and OUT OF MICROWAVEand a dry CESAR SALAD it tasted any thing than CESAR SALAD it was not prepared in the room by the guest table but from the kitchen,from a kitchen helper.down to the value.$4.50 for one coffee and gratuity on top of taxes. very expensive for what we got.
The service and food are always fantastic. Its too bad its so expensive though. We had 2 soups, Chateaubriand and NO drinks, $185.00 with tip. Its a fabulous place for a special event.
Ordered the Hy’s $19 Burger and I was pretty disappointed… Burnt and really dry… Look at the photo… Fries were meh. Not sure why all the hype.
Everything was perfect From service- William and co. were terrific Food quality and taste Cheese toast – amazing Table side Caesar salad – to die for , worth the price Scallops – cooked to perfection couldn’t get any better The chateaubriand for 2 – it was a huge amount presentation amazing, food taste was stellar Wine pairing- right on Celine Fizz & Dark and Stormy – fantastic No room for dessert but that bananas foster sounds amazing ! This was an amazing dinning experience it had been awhile since we’ve been here but love love love !!!!
Some questionable reviews here. Fantastic steak, and ask for Andrew to get the best service in any restaurant in Winnipeg. Always have the Cheese Toast!!
Went here on a special event. we had reserve a table online which is convenient. free parking validation. expect to pay $40-$60 per plate. steak was great. the only complain i have is, make the food worth the money i.e. add more veggie varieties, side sauces, and appetizers should be incl. other than that great experience here. friendly and knowledgeable staff. i would come back here again!
Love this place. It’s where we go for my dad’s birthday dinner every year. You might think the same restaurant every year is boring but then you’ve probably never tried Hys. This place made me a steak fan. So in love with it and can’t wait for August 14th!!!!!!
