It wasn’t a really good experience… As soon as we walked in we weren’t greeted but then we saw a seat yourself sign, fair enough. We had to walk around 3 dirty tables to find a decent one to sit, it wasn’t busy so I don’t know why there were so many unclean tables. After we sat down, it took them around 5 minutes for the server to give us the menus and he just dropped it on our table and didn’t even say anything to us. After we ordered, it took a while for the food to come out. He never came around to refill our water or even check on us. The food was ok…
If I could give this restaurant a negative rating I would. I ordered California and dynamite rolls. The California was covered in spicy sauce and mayo to cover up the flavour of the going off crab meat, I’m sure. The dynamite roll had soggy grey looking tempura and the roll was covered in teriyaki sauce. The water served at the table tasted really gross and I don’t know why. I had to order a pop to wash it all down. I should of returned the food after first bite. Uggggh but being a polite Canadian I gave it a chance. Really wish I didn’t.
It was an okay restaurant to eat at. I’ve been here for lunch after a school trip and even ordered take out from them (not on the same day though) and their service was not bad. I remember the lady eating beside us and as we were eating, I realized that they had not served her water. The place is pretty spacious and they do have free wifi and a TV that is tuned in on a Korean channel that plays music. I have order soondubu soup and kimchi jjigae when i went here and it tasted pretty okay. My friend, which had order LA galbi got hers and I took a bite out of it. It didn’t taste like the galbi that I am used too, but instead, tasted more like teriyaki in my opinion. Their meat was tender though!
DON’T DO IT! I came here to try some sushi in the exchange. I got the sashimi. The texture felt like bad ice cream (where there is that small crunch) and also tasted very fishy. We complained and got the same dish back, just less frozen but still fishy. I didn’t know sashimi could be that bad! The service was also nonexistent.
Food here is okay. Good service though. Ordered their Bibimbap but it was kinda pricey for a small serving, and fried egg is extra so I was kinda surprised because usually Bibimbap already comes with an egg. Cute place though, it feels like you’re just at home, eating Korean food.
Im off work and im walking by this place and I decide to go in and order for take out. Walking into this place it seemed a very cozy placce. As I walk up the stairs there is barely anyone in the restaurant. Besides an empty table with half the food eaten and a table with two guys and their belongings splayed everywehere. Seems like the food had been sitting there for a while. I order the bibimbap and a caterpillar roll to go. And when I arrived at my destination I open my dinner. The caterpillar roll was small for the price you charge, didn’t have much flavor at least avocados were good. I try the bibimbap, which didnt come with the meat or egg, they charge you for that… It had onions, carrots, zuccini, slices of shitake mushroom, and beef it came with a side of kimchi, boiled beansprouts and glazed potatoes. I mix in the hot sauce and there was no taste. The beef was plain, like they just cooked it in water, shitake overpowered everything. If I wasn’t so hungry I would have just thrown it out. Was not satisfied. I really wanted this place to be good since it was so close to my work. 🙁 Maybe I’ll give it another try but i doubt it.
I wanted to like this place so much but the service is SO BAD because it seemed very cozy. I’ve been there 3 times and every time it seems like they’re eating in the back and have 2 or more tables with dirty dishes. So I decided to order pick-up from them and when I went to pick it up, they didn’t even make it yet. If you have 5 more minutes to spare, I would walk a bit further to the parkade, take the underground to 2 different Japanese/Korean shops, the first one you hit is a mom and pop shop and the other is Umi Sushi that make better food.
