One of my favourite places in Winnipeg, it has a satisfying menu designed with local sources in mind. There’s also a decent wine list that houses a number of wines that you would be unlikely to run into otherwise.French food with a provincial influence, this place is both comfortable and ideal for an evening out with friends, family or significant other. The staff are extremely attentive and helpful, and have excellent suggestions for food and wine. I highly recommend you try it out!
This place is amazing. Been here 3 times this month. Once for dinner- had the Berkshire Pork. The portion was HUGE!Twice for lunch- had the steak tartare and chicken livers. Both were good! I usually dont like liver but tried this from recommendations, and it was awesome! I will be definately come cack to try the whole menu!
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant. Ambiance is classic. Foods are good with large servings. I love the servers to. They’re really nice and well trained. Dessert is the best. Only comment is about the menu. There’s only few to choose from.
We came here for a dinner with the winnipeg wine festival. It was a 6 course meal with wine pairings from the poplar grove winery. The food was amazing and the pairings were immaculate. We had a few cocktails before the dinner and the ‘a la mode’ was a favorite; I’d go back just for that drink. The dinner consisted of scallops, foie gras, risotto, duck confit, flank steak, and blue cheese cheesecake. Our favorites were the dessert, scallops and steak also a passed appetizer, beef tartar, were amazing. I can’t wait to go back.
My all time favorite spot for fresh oysters! And to top it off the warm beer goat cheese salad is my all time favorite menu item. They also have daily specials or features and if the tuna tartare is on I would definitely recommend it! I have nothing bad to say but that it’s busy. The cocktail list is very tasty! It’s a must try Winnipeg restaurant
Pricey for the amount of food you get. The calamari was under seasoned. The beef brisket was just overpowered with BBQ sauce. The butternut squash coconut soup was pretty tasty.
Had a quick bite before going to a film at Cinmathque – perfect spot! Nice ambiance and generous portions – duck bruschetta was full of meaty goodness, butter lettuce salad a bit limp but loaded with lardons, and the chorizo meatballs were to die for although this main could have used dome green veg. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu as well as their sazerac! locomocodef.blogspot.com
