Very interesting take on Tots, I’ve been here twice most recently I got ‘The Beetle’ and I love the direction they went considering my first experience was a mixed one. The first time I went (I forget the name of the meal) I got the tots with bacon and there was an egg on top. The bacon was very greasy and the tots were as well, I wasn’t sure what to make of it as it did feel like an overly greasy experience. However, went there the other day and like I said I got ‘the beetle’ and WOW. What a change, the tots were even made differently and the fresh cut vegetables with the sauce they add to it and on top of that avocado! Amazing. Just pure tasteful bliss. Money well spent, I also tried the frog legs everyone talked about and they made a nice side to my tot meal. You get what you pay for, a lot of these ingredients ain’t cheap anymore folks so of course these meals won’t be cheap. But wow is it every worth it. Definitely went up in my ranks for food trucks. Outstanding. Also the guy I’ve dealt with has been very friendly and always delivers these creations quick to perfection. 🙂 hope you guys enjoy em.
I got one with bacon, sour cream and onion. was very tasty but it was quite expensive, i know food trucks can be pricy but for the amount i got, i was disappointed. My boyfriend got a poutine from the food truck ‘the poutine king’ and it was so filling and huge compared to the tator tots.
Probably one of the most expensive food trucks on Broadway, wasn’t all that great but I was slim on options at 1:00PM as all the other trucks were gonefor the day.
Great lunch. Glad I hear about Tot Wheels from a friend. Went down there with my wife and we had 2 different dishes and they were both excellent. Loved the taters, full of flavour and I really like the freshness of the toppings (corn, cilantro, avocado, tomato). I would eat there again for sure.
Delicious and creative. I (David) eat here often during the lunch break. The crisp tater tots are covered in fresh herbs and vegetables, and there is an excellent selection of home-made sauces. Apparently much of the fresh veggies/herbs are grown in a local community garden (win!). There used to be a kimchi (Korean pickled cabbage) topping with Korean-style beef and a zingy wasabi sauce, but I haven’t seen it for some time. It was by far my favorite.Tot Wheels introduced frog legs to Broadway street food, and while a little bit dry, definitely worth a try for the adventurous.
Holy wow. I’m not good at describing food experiences, but this place was amazing! I had the frogs legs, deep fried. Very very tasty. And the croquettes that came with it were even better! Most definitely worth the test!
Chef Inspired Street Food. It is not often that you can find one of the city’s top chefs serving up delicious inspired street food at an affordable cost. As a former owner of a food trailer I continue to follow the street food trend sampling many plates and Tot Wheels is as good as it gets. Fresh local ingredients served up right. So many more dishes to try. Yum!
