  Here is the good thing, the location looks beautiful and very clean and the staff were very polite and kind, however, I go to a restaurant to eat food. I went to Shawarma Khan (downtown location) when it first opened and found the food to be a bit off, however, I decided to hold off on a review because I figured growing pains. This past week I went back to give it another go, this time at the Fort Garry location. I ordered a large beef/lamb/chicken platter and was disappointed. The meats were extremely dry and their portion sizes were not the best for a large. The potatoes and rice were alright, the salads weren’t very flavorful, and the sauces seemed to be skimped on (still palatable, some even good). I can understand that portion sizes need to correlate to costs, but I was willing to pay more when I ordered the large and came away feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. I wish the owner and managers nothing but the best, it’s great that Shawarma is becoming more accessible to Manitoba residence, just the execution needs work.

  I picked up from here yesterday via Skip-the-Dishes… I was almost 45 minutes late so I called them, and even though they were closing, they had no problem staying late for me to pick up my order.I have never tried any of the Shawarma Khan locations, so I was eager to try many items.I ordered the beet and apple salad, a chicken wrap, a side of falafel balls, and my son tried the beef and lamb wrap. I have never had pickled turnip before and it was truly my favourite thing about the wrap! The meat in both wraps was tender and flavourful, even though it had been sitting waiting for us, for close to an hour. The falafel balls are good and crispy, although they are a bit on the small side and drier than I would make them myself, but very typical of most restaurants that serve them.The only suggestion I would have is that the apple and beet salad would be much better if they were cut julienne style (rather than half sliced), and the ratio of each balanced (mine had way more beets than apple).Over all, I would definitely go back! YUM

  We had a terrible experience here. The flavour of the food was okay and the portion size was pretty good for the cost, but the customer service was horrendous. The young lady that served us was absolutely miserable. I understand that people can have off days, but in between customers she was joking around with her coworkers. Then she’d be just as nasty to the next customer. This leads me to believe she really doesn’t like her job. Management should manage the customer service aspect of the business and look into this behaviour. I’m sure this sour employee has single handedly driven numerous customers away. Food: 3 stars, service: zer0

  The chicken wrap/pita with chickpea salad was really good. I love the crunchy pita chips as well. Fast friendly service. Will be back for more. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if the place is busy.

  Horrible service !!!Ordered the trio plate (chicken beef and lamb). Only got chicken and beef. Asked what kind of salads were the options to the combo, the worker had no idea. Had to ask the worker for the pita that was supposed to come with combo. Food was obviously sitting out all day. As it was already sliced and very dry. Will not return to this location again!

  Very good food!!! Good service and a filling healthy meal. The wrap/pita w chicken, lamb/beef was perfect and tasted great. Loved how they cooked the food and u can see it made right in front of u. Thanks
