Pad thai is good here. Makes me want to splurge on their menu everytime I pass by. This is a good place to dine with friends and family. I highly recommend it!
Came here with some friends because our main go to was closed. I have only come here for Vietnamese food in the past but noticed the signage has changed and so have the owners and is now called Asia Palace. It seems they still offer the same Vietnamese dishes as they did in the past but also have a Sichuan menu as well. If anyone has not had Sichuan food before, generally, most of the stuff is pretty spicy.Thinking we’d be a bit adventurous, we went ahead and ordered a bunch of dishes. As expected, they were extremely spicy. Well beyond what I could tolerate, but from my friends view who actually is from Sichuan, this stuff was legit! Not sure if I can rate this well, as I had a hard time eating this stuff, but I guess it is technically my fault for not being able to appreciate it.Service was attentive throughout and they did warn us that the food is spicy. If you’ve never had Sichuan food, I suggest you try only one dish.
Got the BBQ pork vermicelli and the carrots and cucumber were not shredded and the pork tasted like an old weed pipe will not return it was aids
Food is just OK and the service was on the slow side. Bathroom was dirty. There is a restaurant of a similar or same name on MCPHILLIPS and it is far superior.
I ordered delivery via skip the dishes for supper tonight. I had the pad Thai and crab ragoon it was really good and there was enough food for at least two people if not three (or for lunch tomorrow ). The prices were very reasonable and I would recommend.
I regularly come here because it is close to where I live. It just sucks when there’s a party because there’s not much space and it can be very loud. Food is good and staff are friendly.
I went here with a friend last night and we ordered the crispy duck noodle soup (with rice noodles), crab rangoon, a shredded chicken bahn mi, a bbq meatball bahn mi and a chocolate marshmallow slushie bubble tea. The broth in the soup was flavourful, although basic and it came in a large portion with plenty of duck and noodles. The bubble tea was great and tasted like malted milk (which I love). The crab rangoon was delightful–big and full of filling, and the wontons were crispy, not oily. However lately I am on a mission to try and compare all the bahn mi in the city, so that was my main focus. Unfortunately, both of the sandwiches were very disappointing. The shredded chicken was cold, and had the taste of chicken that was sitting in the fridge for days after being roasted. The meatball was one meatball, cut in half and also cold. The toppings on both were so sparse and bland and it was dry… I was searching for the mayo. See pictures–it is fairly obvious that mine had less toppings than previous pictures of the same items. The service wasn’t bad but lacklustre. I like the variety offered by this menu, but I won’t be back to satisfy my bahn mi cravings.
