I am so pleased with my meal and experience at Dancing Noodle. I have heard great things from different chef’s the in the culinary community in Winnipeg, so I was very excited to head there with my family. We arrive right at 5:30 PM, and we were one of two tables.Menu is small and simple, but so flavourful. Between the four of us we each had different items. Once we received them, we instantly had to share and try each others dishes. Now, my kids are 7 & 9, and they are used to trying different food. The broth was a little spicy for them (but still enjoyable – they kept eating), and they each had one that the employee told us was not very spicy. The portion sizes were big and appropriate the pricing. So, there definitely is value. We all couldn’t finish our bowls, as they are quite big and packed with yumminess. So, we took our leftovers home. I am currently enjoying my leftovers – and it is still as good as it was in the restaurant. The restaurant is small. Very much like a Chinese Diner. Service is what you would expect. The only reason why I am taking half a star off – is purely for service. A simple quality check and offer to top up water would have definitely made this experience 5 stars – for now I think they for sure deserve the 4.5!Homemade noodles, flavourful broth, delicious meat….exactly what I was craving!!!

Ive been wanting to try this place for a very long time and I finally checked it out over lunch. Sadly I was very disappointed and underwhelmed by our food. The noodles were good, but the broth was so salty and tasted like beef bouillon and MSG. There was about 3-5 thinly slices of beef and overpriced for what you get. Any Vietnamese soup wouldve cost less with more meat and better broth. My mom ordered the beef tendon soup or so we thought according to the picture. When it came out, it had the same kind of beef as my dish, except hers had lettuce (the picture showed iceberg lettuce but she received romaine). I asked the server if there was a mistake and he said they didnt use the other beef because its hard to infuse flavour into it?! Perhaps change be picture of the dish if thats not how you serve it? It was $3 more than the typical soup and the only difference is the 4 pieces of lettuce. The only dish that was good was the pork peanut noodle dish. Thats something I would order again. Service was just ok, but you never expect great service from an Asian restaurant. As long as the food is great for a reasonable price, I dont mind that. I had high expectations, but sadly wont be returning.

Well. This is probably the worst noodle place I’ve been to, the broth is tasteless, noodle all tangled together n formed a flour nugget. Food is over priced, bowl of noodle with 3 pieces of thinly sliced beef which is ridiculous… Like srsly, 10 bucks for basically flour nugget with MSG boiled with water… Even I can make something better than this… Worst yet if you want add extra meat which is another 3 pieces of thinly sliced beef cost 4.99… that’s around $120/ pound, it better be the Japanese Kobe beef…I’d rather spend the 10 bucks on lottery than here, at least it’d maybe win me some cash… I’ve been to China and tried the authentic Lanzhou noodle, this is nothing like it… I was disappointed by the fact it has 4.2/5 review on Google… To sum up, poor food choice, poor taste and waste of money… Friendly advise: save your money and try somewhere else like McDonald’s(despite the fact that I hate McDonald’s)…

Small hole in the wall, girl at the counter was helpful, friendly and energetic, the food was quick and tasted amazing, the homemade noodles are to die for. Will quicky become a regular stop for me!

It was delicious. The noodles were perfect and the broth was tasty. I added more beef since I was hungry but probably didn’t need too. Definitely going again.

After eating so many times at Winnipeg Flying Noddle House, I thought I’d try the other Chinese place with homemade noodles. It was good, but not great. I ordered the same dish I’d usually get at the other place (fat round noodles, ground pork, peanut butter) and it was tasty. The broth wasn’t amazing, although things improved when I added the spicy chili oil to it.All in all I enjoyed it, but it was not spectacular. And it certainly isn’t nearly as good as the Winnipeg Flying Noodle House.
