I placed a take-out order of 2 Large pizzas at Garbonzo. The order was ready in 15 minutes. The pizzas weren’t nearly as cheap as Dominos or Pizza Hotline but boy were they delicious!! If I have to compare the pizza quality with the other casual dining pizza places, I’d highly recommend Garbonzo!
Tried this place with a friend for the first time last Friday. I found their menus very limited. We ended up ordering the classis hamburgers and was not as good as the descriptions and picture says. The calamari as starter was greasy and heavy breaded and more expensive than the main meals. We could have ordered the pizza as they saytheir specialty but we were not in the mood for pizza.We should have gone to a real burger place and we’ll be happier. Not coming back.
I hate having to give a bad review. The food is still great and one of my favourite spots to grab pizza. The downside though is the restaurant itself. I remember when this location first opened. We came quite frequently as a family and it was always packed and full of great energy. The service staff and management were great back then and not only did you get a great meal but they provided entertainment as well. I recently revisited for half price pizza and although the food was delicious, the atmosphere was disappointing and the service was pretty awful. Used to be such fun place to go for a meal, such a shame how it’s changed.
I noticed the $9.99 lunch buffet advertised for months now but I’ve never gone, until yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t a huge buffet and there were mostly vegetarian options: tossed and Caesar salad, two types of pasta with your choice of Alfredo or marinara sauce, breadsticks, two pizzas (a meat and a veggie option) and dessert pizza. It’s a great choice, excellent price and comfy decor. Will definitely go back.
Went for the lunch buffet, salad, pasta, pizza, breadstick and dessert. 2 pasta types, 2 sauces, 2 pizzas, 2 salads. It was all quite satisfying and the dessert pizza was everything I hoped for. Especially at the price point! Clean restaurant, attentive service (we went early and it wasn’t busy) and decent food. The only down I had was the marinara sauce was dark, too thick and too sweet.
If you like tasty / spicy pizza sauce. .. not overtly spicy just … hay that’s good sauce spicy, as well has Excellent crust. Very good lunch deal on personal 2 topping pizza – twice the size of Boston Pizza personal pizza and better BTW and salad and soft drink for 12.99 (prices may have gone up – it’s about 2 months since I ate there ). OOnly thing is I’m doing the low carb thing ….. I get lots of stares when I eat the toppings off the ZA and leave the crust….. OK OK the crust is so good I usually eat one complete piece.
