3 stars because the food tasted good enough. However good enough still means perfectly average while being extremely overpriced. Could make better at home. Patties were ridiculously thin. Would not return, however if one happened to be in the area with deep pockets, it might be worth a try (spring for at least a double patty though).
I wish I had read the reviews here before going. Very expensive. Food was average. Burgers at verrrryyyy thin – not that filling. For $20 for a double cheese, fries, and a soft drink, I was truly expecting something a lot better. Save your money and try something else.
Well I had the 4oz mooya burger , with cheese and a fountain drink $12.35 …..overpriced ….First the fresh baked bun is completely unsubstantial and flavorless I cant see it possibly standing up to bacon & lettuce and tomatoes .That being said the 4oz patty is also almost lost on the bun and just barley stands out against the toppings I only had cheese mustard and relish the mooya sauce ,onions and pickles .I suspect its close to a $20 hit when fries are added in if you go for the 5oz patty .. Very sub-par at that price I expect to be going WOW.Some of the better bars in town serve up a 5 -7 oz patty with toppings and fries or salad etc in the $13 – $15 range with a better atmosphere and stronger flavour profiles .
The worst burger experience I have ever had. Almost $17 for a cheeseburger, fries and a fountain drink. Service was horrible. Young lady at the till was extremely impatient even though it was my 1st time there and they have many unusual choices. Fries were ok. Burger was a thin overcooked flavour less mess on an old, too big bun. Save your $ and go elsewhere.
Understanding this place is new I would come Back again and give it another chance. But having said that i found it greasy, they forgot some of my toppings, bacon was completely raw, but they rectified it quickly, they are training a lot Of new staff. Fries were crispy but lacked flavour. I still prefer 5 guys.
If anyone remembers Fuddruckers, this place reminds me of it in many ways. I’m really glad this franchise has come to Winnipeg.Fresh baked buns and tons of pick your own toppings. I can be a bun snob, but this one was ideal for me – not dense and not yeast-y or thick relative to the patty. The patties here are good, but the toppings are the real star. All free toppings except cheese and avocado. Plenty of selection. I especially enjoyed the crispy onion and sauted mushrooms. Not a fast food burger and not a fancy burger. In between. Great for when you want something quick and satisfying. The fries were real fries, not the pre-packaged frozen bag. Fried with the potato skins. Generous portions. The restaurant is clean and I thought the prices were very reasonable for what you receive. Again, in between fast food and fancy prices. Nice staff.I hope this restaurant thrives because it’s somewhat hidden in a strip mall. Exactly fits the niche for me.
2 Mooyah bacon cheese burgers 2 milk shakes and a side of gravy $39.87. The food was good but not worth the price in my opinion. The Coke Freestyle machine was interesting.
