The Food is boring. The Service is fine. The Coffee was lukewarm. But it is a nice place to sit with friends over breakfast and chat. The pancake house is somewhat of a YWG staple!
We went here on aSundaybrunch and ordered their breakfast special with 2 eggs, bacon strips, hash browns and toast and didn’t disappoint me. My friend ordered for the omelette and said it was alright. Service was fast and friendly. I guess every Pancake house you go the food are always the same as a chained restaurant.
Breakfast is good, though it’d be really hard to screw up pancakes and eggs and toast. The service can be slow at times, depending on the time of visit, so be prepared for the peek times.
Pretty consistent food. Menu is huge so there’s lots to choose from, but I usually go for the French Toast combo. French toast is great, eggs are good, but sometimes the bacon is too crispy. Either way, I love coming here every once in a while for breakfast, and the servers are always very friendly.
Banana Nutella Pancakes to die for. Need I say more? Breakfast has never been as satisfying this year after my visit to the location on Kenaston. The interiors are done up to provide a fine dining experience, and the serving staff was plenty helpful. I ordered the breakfast with Canadian back bacon, and it did not disappoint. The hashbrowns were especially yum, and the eggs poached to my liking. But the icing on the cake was the Banana Nutella pancakes. I had foodgasms in my mouth that lasted quite a while. All this with some coffee, and I was ready to take on the world. Breakfast is a little pricey but oh so worth it. Definite thumbs up!
Not worth the trip. Each time I’ve been my service has been less than good, food has been dry and barely warm, and we’ve had issues with the bill. It’s not even quite worth my time to go over it for a review. I’d suggest elsewhere.
