Discovered this place earlier this year. Tried dining in but place is always too loud for my liking. So I just phone and pick up and eat at home. My favourite is their Mushroom Egg Fooyong. Very tasty. Just with rice and I’m solve.
I used to go to Idol across the street at plaza back in 2014 before they changed the menu for my favourite dish – crispy ginger beef. But once the new menu came out, they got rid of most of the items including ginger beef. Then I tried this place. The food is good but the restaurant doesn’t look all that appealing.Food – 4/5 (Good bang for your buck and the crispy ginger beef was very good!)Service – 3/5 (Service is quick but I was waiting at the front door for 10 mins wondering if I should seat myself or wait for the hostess)Restaurant – 3/5 (Don’t expect to see anything too fancy)
I like stopping by here for twice lunch buffet. It’s a great selection for the same price as a garden plate at the food court. The service is friendly and attentive.
I was in the area doing some errands and decided to tried their lunch buffet. The buffet menu has a wide selections andit was really good.Thefried chicken, sweet sour pork, chicken meatballs and mixed fresh vegetables were alldelicious, not to mention the wanton soup. Try this place and come hungry.
I went here in a group of 8. The place looked decent with a Chinese feel to it. The waiter and cashier were friendly. The menu had plenty of choice, but I seem to find it difficult to choose when there are too many choices to choose from. Only a few had pictures to compliment the meal stated on the menu. We ordered 7 dishes plus a large bowl of soup. The soup arrived first, it was delightful. Red Vinegar was available and my Chinese friend recommended I try it with my soup. It made it taste better. I can not recall the names of all the dishes but the pecking pork ( if I’m not to be mistaken) was amazing. The beef with jalapeo chilli was also favourite of mine. The 7 dishes was enough to make us all full and satisfied. Over all the flavours and satisfaction was great. We each only had to pay around 12 dollar each which was a great price, to be able to try plenty of dishes.
I didn’t know that the call centre was actually in China. Very hard to understand….. I ended up saying chuck it. Last time I got food poisoning at Kens… Guess I’ll give em another shot. #Prayforme
Dishonest service. We ordered the pan fried shrimp but the shrimp we got was covered in batter and deep fried. When we mentioned to our server that we had ordered the pan fried, instead of admitting that a mistake was made, she informed us that it was deep fried first and then pan fried. When she took our order she had asked us if we wanted it with the shell on or off so I asked her how we would be able to eat the shrimp if we had opted to have the shell left on without removing the batter. She said we would just peel it off and explained that the spicy flavor would still be there as it would have permeated the shrimp. Made absolutely no sense to us. We had also ordered a beef with mushroom dish. Everything was soaked in oil.
