Came here for lunch with some colleagues. Pho-Yo is in a pretty obscure location. Its definitely close to the main drag on St. Marys, but is tucked behind another store. I can drive by this place a hundred times and not know it was there!Pho-yo definitely has some gems on the menu. There are also some things that you can easily stay away from. Their Pho is one, a large bowl (which isnt very large) is 10-15% more expensive than a competitor that is not too far away. The Pho is actually pretty legit, but the problem is value. I would say their banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), is in the same boat. Though bigger than average, it is far too expensive. Once again, the banh mi was delicious, just like the Pho, but the value simply isnt there.There are however some amazing gems at Pho-Yo. The Flying Noodle is genuinely an original and delicious item, and for $10.89, this item is a must try! The noodles were cooked and seasoned perfectly, with a great assortment of garnishes, presented very uniquely. Their Vermicelli bowls and Rice plates are also great menu items. Very tasty and portioned very appropriately.Pho-Yo is a small restaurant, they only have about 6 tables. The decor is tired but they dress it up as best they can. I have been to Pho-Yo several times and service has been consistently prompt. If youre looking for new flavours to try, Pho-Yo definitely has some gems!
